GGG Higher Education Roundtable 2025: Connecting Continents, Transforming Learning
The first GGG Higher Education Roundtable 2025 took place at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences in Berlin, hosting the Global Envisioning Conference Series under the theme “Connecting Continents, Transforming Learning: A Transdisciplinary Dialogue for the Future of Education.”
Held on November 5, 2025, the event brought together visionary leaders and changemakers in higher education to discuss Evolving Higher Education Ecosystems and Stakeholder Expectations.
It was organized by MIT World Peace University, Goa, and co-hosted in partnership with Global University Systems (GGG), University of Europe for Applied Sciences, Gisma University of Applied Sciences, htk academy, University of Applied Sciences Europe - UE Amsterdam, and the University of Zululand — reflecting a truly global collaboration.
The roundtable was chaired by Prof. Dr. Kyriakos Kouveliotis FRSA (Provost, BSBI and Chief Academic Officer, GGG), with opening addresses by Mr. Sagi Hartov (Group CEO, GGG), Dr. Rahul V. Karad (Executive President, MIT World Peace University, India), and Prof. Dr. Vistap Karbhari (Former President, The University of Texas at Arlington). The session was introduced by Prof. Dr. Shiv Kumar Tripathi, Roundtable Coordinator.
The opening plenary on Strategic Alignment in the Global Higher Education Landscape was moderated by Dr.Anastasia Kiritsi, featuring an esteemed panel including CEO UE Ernst Suganandarajah, Prof. Dr. Ramon O'Callaghan, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Sascha J. Flemnitz, Dr. Georgios Alevizopoulos, Ms. Maria Nek, Prof. Dr. Dev Tiwari, Prof. Irrshad Kaseeram, and Prof. Ayansola Olatunji Ayandibu, Ph.D, PMP..
The discussion explored how universities can adapt to rapid technological change, rising student expectations, and global employability needs. It highlighted the importance of agility, AI-driven learning, and industry collaboration as central pillars for the future of education.
