Purpose of the Role

To further develop ADDEV Materials’ position as a leading European supplier of chemicals and consumables for the Aerospace and Defense sector. The role focuses on achieving or exceeding sales targets and delivering strong account management aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

You will provide technical consulting to customers, help optimize their processes, identify and regularly visit key accounts, and actively grow market share.

This is a home‑based role, requiring regular customer visits, participation in marketing events, and frequent travel to ADDEV Materials sites across Europe. The Business Development Manager must be able to act professionally, communicate effectively, and build strong long‑term relationships.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Account Management

  • Achieve sales targets agreed with the VP Sales.
  • Manage and grow the territory covering Southern & Eastern Germany, as well as neighbouring countries
  • Maintain and develop strategic customer relationships using structured account management techniques.
  • Implement journey and time management plans to visit customers at the appropriate frequency.
  • Identify new customers, applications, and business opportunities from first contact to order.

Technical & Market Expertise

  • Provide technical support for ADDEV Materials products, ensuring correct use at the customer site.
  • Develop strong expertise in chemicals and consumables used in aerospace manufacturing, including specifications and environmental legislation.
  • Understand industry standards and apply this knowledge to support market growth.
  • Prepare proposals, technical solutions, quotations, and service offers.
  • Deliver professional presentations and secure new business as a result.

Internal Collaboration & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate customer and market data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations to ensure an outstanding level of service and product quality.
  • Maintain a technical and commercial information library needed to support customer applications.
  • Contribute proactively to the success of the wider company and internal teams.


Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • University degree or equivalent professional background
  • Knowledge of technical products and aerospace manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of industry specifications and regulations
  • Proven experience in field sales and strategic account management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong numerical and written skills
  • Motivated, structured, and able to work independently
  • Competitive mindset with resilience in challenging environments
  • Languages: German & English fluency required
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the region and across Europe
