KEPSA Signs Strategic MOU with DevPartners

On Wednesday, 25th March 2026, the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) hosted a strategic meeting at its offices, bringing together senior leadership from KEPSA and DevPartners, the collaborative partnership between DevGlobal and Dev-Afrique Development Advisors, one of KEPSA’s Platinum Members. The meeting explored opportunities for collaboration in advancing innovation, sustainability, and private sector growth in Kenya.

The meeting was attended by Carole Kariuki, KEPSA CEO; Dr. Jackson Koimbori, Head of KEPSA Consult and Senior Circular Economy and Climate Change Coordinator; and James Kitavi, Head of Membership Services. Representing DevPartners were Matt Manning, Founder and Owner of DevGlobal; Monica Nthiga of Dev-Afrique, who attended on behalf of Ridwan Sorounke, Founder and Managing Principal of Dev-Afrique; as well as David Gadsden, Senior Advisor of DevPartners focused on geospatial and conservation across Africa. The engagement marked a significant step toward strengthening partnerships that support Kenya’s private sector growth.

A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between KEPSA, DevGlobal, and Dev-Afrique Development Advisors (collectively referred to as DevPartners). This agreement reflects a shared commitment to leveraging data, technology, and innovation to enhance the resilience and sustainability of businesses across Kenya. The collaboration aims to deliver impactful solutions that benefit the broader economy while addressing emerging challenges in climate change, digital transformation, and inclusive development.

Through this partnership, KEPSA and DevPartners will jointly advance several priority areas for KEPSA members and partners, including the integration and adoption of geospatial technologies and responsible artificial intelligence (AI) projects and programs, and the mobilization of resources to support implementation. The partners will also co-host workshops, webinars, and events to promote knowledge sharing, while strengthening strategic partnerships that amplify impact across public and private sectors.

Among the flagship initiatives under this collaboration is the development of a centralized Geographic Information System (GIS) Data Hub that will map KEPSA’s extensive membership base, enabling data-driven decision-making through integrated insights on demographics, sector trends, market access, and business exposure to climate-related risks. In addition, the partnership will explore hosting an AI Summit in 2026 or 2027 to position Kenya as a regional leader in AI. The “Tujenge Pamoja” Initiative will also support the advancement of Kenya’s circular economy through Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) using geospatial tools and data-driven approaches. Additionally, DevPartners will design and deploy a structured survey targeting MSMEs in the country to generate the first consolidated dataset on MSME readiness for investment and growth. This will provide an evidence base to guide KEPSA’s programs, inform policy engagement, and identify high-impact intervention areas under the “Tujenge Pamoja” Initiative.

This MOU establishes a one-year renewable framework for collaboration, underscoring a long-term commitment between KEPSA and DevPartners. By combining KEPSA’s strong private sector network with DevPartners’ expertise in innovation and development, the partnership is poised to unlock new opportunities for businesses and communities across Kenya. DevGlobal and Dev-Afrique Development Advisors remain committed to forging partnerships that drive sustainable growth and deliver meaningful impact across the African continent.
