Today, we opened our doors in Berlin for Girls’ Day 👩🏻💻 We had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students to Wolt to give them a behind-the-scenes look at tech careers, from software engineering to data science. Through conversations with our team, an office tour, and a hands-on workshop, the goal was simple: make tech more tangible, more accessible, and maybe even spark an idea of what their future could look like. Because the reality is still this: women remain underrepresented in tech. And while one day won’t change that, early exposure, real role models, and open doors can make a difference. A big thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and shared their stories today — and to the participants for their curiosity, energy, and great questions. 28 teams, 48 hours, tens of thousands of AI prompts to build ideas that could shape the long game. That’s what our latest Hackathon looked like. From voice-first ordering to help improve accessibility, to AI-powered incident copilots, meal planning, and entirely new ways of discovering restaurants. We saw working prototypes with clear product direction and thoughtful architecture 👏 One team even took home both the judge prize and the people’s choice award 🏆 Shoutout to all our hackers!! A sushi restaurant in Almaty, a Helsinki florist, a Warsaw pizzeria, an organic food market in Athens, and a pharmacy in Berlin. Different countries, different industries, different challenges - but one thing they all have in common is a real focus on being there for their customers when it matters. And a determination to grow while staying true to how they run their businesses. For some, partnering with Wolt means being able to reach customers beyond their immediate neighborhood. To identify the most impactful format, it A/B tested BAU Snap Ads against a combination of AR Lenses and Snap Ads.
