In many cases, EAD cards and immigration documents are being edited to show fake GC status. Reminder: Misrepresentation of U.S. immigration status is a federal crime. Under 8 U.S. Code § 1324c and 18 U.S. Code § 1546: ️ You could face deportation, ️ Up to 10 years in prison, ️ Fines up to $250,000, ️ And permanent denial of immigration benefits — including H-1B or Green Card in the future. Even if someone else edits your documents, if you knowingly use them, you are responsible.
