Amazon’s entire Kindle lineup is getting a 2024 makeover with new versions of the Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite, and Kindle Scribe.
The new Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is Amazon’s first Kindle-branded devices to feature an E Ink color display. The new entry-level Kindle and Kindle Paperwhite models feature faster page refresh times and the Paperwhite models have slightly larger displays than the previous-gen models. And the new Kindle Scribe has an updated design with white bezels, an updated stylus, a more paper-like writing experience, and updated software that allows you to annotate eBooks and other content with in-line notes.

Amazon is also giving the Kindle lineup a bit of a price bump. The entry-level model now sells for $110 and up, which $10 more than the 2022 model. The starting price for Kindle Paperwhite models has risen from $140 in 2021 to $160 for the 2024 models (and you’ll have to pay a hefty premium if you want the color model). And the new Kindle Scribe starts at $400 which is a $60 price hike over the 2022 version.
Amazon is continuing to sell the original Kindle Scribe for now, which means that you can still pick up the company’s first E Ink tablet with a 10.2 inch display and support for pen input for $340 and up… at least while supplies last.
Another significant change? After going five years without an update, the Kindle Oasis has finally gone the way of the Kindle Voyage. Amazon’s premium devices for readers are now the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition. There’s no longer any model with physical page turn buttons.

The Kindle store is filled with AI generated crap.
Just like YouTube is filled with AI generated crap
and DeviantArt is filled with AI generated crap
and SoundCloud is filled with AI generated crap
and GitHub is filled with AI generated crap
Is this the utopian future you drones all longed for?
What Fuck AI didn’t know is that he too was just a dream in the electronic brain of an AI, a synapse fired, a counter reached it’s overflow value and for a brief moment an entire universe expanded and slowly faded in the simulation and between two ticks of the CPU Fuck AI existed.
