Last week, AI Day by Nebius Academy took over Amsterdam – and we couldn’t be prouder. 200+ engineers, founders, and researchers came together to hear from industry leaders, exchanged ideas, and built new connections. 📌 Our CEO Arkady Volozh and Elena Bunina, Head of Science and Education at Nebius, were there to welcome our guests. 📌 In their keynotes, Bryan Catanzaro, Nikita Shamgunov, and Max Welling covered open-source models, the infrastructure behind AI agents, and AI’s role in transforming scientific discovery, looking at both what’s happening across industries right now and what the future could look like. 📌 Alex Golubev shared insights into Nebius’s own AI research and touched on SWE-rebench, a benchmark for evaluating agentic LLMs. 📌 Olga Megorskaya (Toloka), Kelly Kung (Accel), and Anton Dvorkovich (Dubformer) gave an inside look at what it actually takes to build an AI company. 📌 Alexei Miasnikov (Stevens Institute of Technology), Elise Deitrick (TripleTen), and Cees Snoek (University of Amsterdam) joined Elena Bunina to discuss how universities should and will change because of AI – and what that actually means for educators. 📌 Artem Elmuratov, Peter Morley, Mashrur Haider 🕶️, Linnea Ahlgren moderated discussions and Q&A sessions.
