Meet Maike Bentrup-Parsch, Customer Engagement Manager in Berlin — one of the people helping our customers actually understand and act on their energy, one well-timed e-mail at a time! Price alerts, product updates, energy-saving tips — the emails and app notifications you get from Tibber have Maike and her team behind them, making sure each one is worth opening! In her words, she joined Tibber for two reasons: 👉A mix of creative work and data/logic 👉Colleagues who are experts in their field "I love the mix of being creative, with e-mails, campaigns, copy, and still working with data and logic behind the scenes. Every week looks different, and I get to learn something new all the time," Maike says. Outside work? Maike has two modes. Speed mode: 9th of 185 at her first German Speedpuzzling Championship, clocking in at 42:07 (How cool is that?!) And craft mode: handmade spring figures for the Berlin office. Maike is one of many Tibberinos working every day for our customers. We're currently growing our customer-facing teams across Amsterdam, Berlin and Stockholm. Right now we're hiring a Customer Support Specialist in the Netherlands: https://lnkd.in/dwRPXTGK Find all our open customer roles at our career site: https://lnkd.in/ddXhVJjX

Solar season is officially here! ☀️ If you have a home battery you're already one step ahead – but most home batteries are still only doing half the job. A quick reminder from our biggest launch this year, Tibber Smart Battery: 👉 Your battery shouldn’t just store solar. 👉 It should optimize your entire energy cost. Because here’s the thing most people don’t realize: In summer, you produce the most solar… when electricity is usually the cheapest. So if you’re only storing solar and using it later, you’re missing a big part of the value. With Tibber Smart Battery, your battery can charge when electricity is cheapest, power your home when prices are high, and sell back to the grid when it makes sense, saving you automatically up to €1000/year. Already have a battery at home? With integrations like Huawei Digital Power Nordic, KOSTAL Group, SolaX Power (or via the Tibber Bridge), you can unlock these benefits without changing your hardware. Solar & battery season isn’t just about producing more. It’s about using your energy smarter when it actually matters. Make sure your smart battery is connected to Tibber this summer! 👀 Find out more about Tibber Smart Battery: 🇸🇪 https://lnkd.in/eK8WnNbC 🇩🇪https://lnkd.in/er-5HzFz 🇳🇱https://lnkd.in/eAQT69PD

If you’re building a home, energy decisions matter more than ever. That’s exactly what our Energy Market Lead in Germany, Ralf Walther, discussed last week on Der Höfliche & der Baustein — a popular German podcast for homeowners and future builders, hosted by Fabio Gentile and Julian Stein. Together with Julian Höner from tecalor GmbH, they discussed what happens when well-engineered hardware meets consistent market integration. And the result is surprisingly simple: Heat pumps are thermal storage. Combined with EPEX Spot prices, they become highly efficient demand-response assets — quietly optimizing in the background while homeowners simply see a lower bill. What this means for the energy system: Millions of heat pumps reacting to price signals = decentralized balancing energy. No need to fire up additional gas plants. Just shifted demand that stabilizes the grid and reduces redispatch costs. What this means for Tibber customers: With a fully dynamic tariff and the Tibber app, customers directly benefit from these system services — not as an abstract concept, but reflected in their monthly electricity costs. The technology is already here. The market structure is in place. Listen to the full episode here! https://lnkd.in/dK4JeWW3

Behind the scenes from our Stockholm office! 👀 Leaders from across Tibber’s different markets came together to reflect, learn from each other, and keep investing in how they lead — for the people and teams around them. The conversations focused on the everyday behaviours that make a real difference like leading with positive intent under pressure, building real ownership and using candid feedback to help teams grow. This was the first of several sessions, with more to come in Berlin and Amsterdam. As Head of Operations Nicolas Ringas from the Amsterdam office reflected after the day: “One thing that really resonated with me during the training was how true leadership is felt in the small, everyday behaviours.” Building the future of energy takes more than great technology. It also takes leaders who create the conditions for people and teams to do their best work. 🤝

EV owners are already doing the right thing. They charge when prices are low. They shift usage. They adapt. But many still overpay. Why? Not because of behavior — but because electricity contracts are unclear. A recent debate article in Energy Loop featuring Tibber's Christoffer Magnerholt highlights a fundamental issue: people are playing the game right, but the rules aren’t transparent. “EV owners are doing the right thing — but lose out due to unclear electricity contracts,” Christoffer says. That’s the gap. If even EV owners can’t see the benefit of their actions — why would anyone else change? The next step isn’t behavior change. It’s transparency. 🔮 Read the full article here (in Swedish) https://lnkd.in/dKAMx_eM

Great to see the energy on the ground in Linköping, Sweden today! One of Sweden’s largest wholesalers for installers brought the industry together for their latest roadshow, and we’re proud to be part of it. ⚡️ Since this summer, Rexel has been offering Tibber Pulse, our real-time meter & load balancer, and now we’re taking it one step further: Tibber Bridge is officially part of the lineup. That means our ecosystem is now available not just online, but across most Rexel physical stores as well — making it even easier for installers to bring smarter energy solutions into more homes. Tibber Director of Business Development Filip Bertland also met our partner Gröna Hus at the event, and we welcomed Misha Voss Gustavsson, our Key Account Manager in Sweden to the Rexel roadshow. This is how we scale smarter energy — together.

A room full of future engineers at Tibber! ⚡️ ️ On Friday, March 20, we hosted Introduce a Girl to Engineering day (IGEday) in our Stockholm office – and it felt extra special to be part of it for the second year in a row. IGEday, by Womengineer, gives girls and non-binary youths a chance to get closer to engineering. And the work is still needed: in Sweden, women make up only ~1 in 3 new engineering students. What the students did during the day: 📲 Designed an app concept focused on user engagement ➡Built the user flow (what happens first → next → last) 🧠Learned how design + engineering collaborate to bring ideas to life Thank you to all the students for the curiosity and new perspectives. And of course to everyone at Tibber who made the day happen! Photos show Tibber Head of Engineering Linda Malmqvist and Senior User Researcher Domina K. who presented to our guests. Curious about joining the energy revolution? We’re hiring across several teams, including engineering: https://lnkd.in/eKFsBkYy

🗞️ Daniel Lindén highlights a key issue in Dagens Industri this week: Pausing power tariffs isn’t enough. The real problem? A system so complex that ordinary households can’t understand it — let alone act on it. The introduction of power tariffs, which involved basing fees on an average of a customer's three highest consumption hours per month, sparked fears of skyrocketing electricity bills among Swedish consumers. But last week the Swedish government decided to pause the mandatory rollout after widespread criticism that the charges hit households too hard. Now its voluntary for companies: Electricity grid companies that have already introduced power charges can choose to pause or adjust them, and those that have not yet introduced them do not have to do so during a pause period. Daniel says that when grid companies require people to behave like energy experts, knowing each and every electricity use peak, something in the system is broken. Without automation, without access to the right data in real time, without tools that actually do the work for you, the model risks losing legitimacy altogether. We don’t just need new rules. We need a system that works in real life — for real homes, real people. Read the full debate: https://lnkd.in/d3qR-DsF
