Workers are entitled to annual leave, paid at full wages for three working days during Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha respectively. One day of paid leave is allowed for Independence Day. An additional three days of leave is permitted at the discretion of the employer.

After one year of consecutive employment, workers are entitled to paid annual leave of at least three weeks. After five years of employment, paid annual leave is increased to four weeks. Qatari labor laws also provide that all Muslim workers are entitled to leave without pay for a period not exceeding two weeks in order to fulfill religious pilgrimage obligations.
