This week was a reminder of why this industry continues to excite us.   SATS Ltd. came to Hamburg with a clear conviction: that our Asian Heritage and the mastery of complex, layered flavours it carries enables us to create more memorable inflight dining experiences. In a world where passengers increasingly demand authenticity, the ability to build flavour profiles that resonate deeply and feel genuinely familiar is core to the onboard experience.   That conviction showed up in everything we brought to WTCE. We displayed several of our best ideas - a cross-cultural chef collaboration between two different countries, meals that carry the weight of a national moment, a brand accelerator programme that gives heritage and well-loved local food the scale they deserve, and pizza by Monty's Bakehouse that brought the made-in-Italy experience onboard. We also showcased new Asian snack concepts, Monty's Bakehouse chef-curated handheld snacks, and a reimagined in-between meal experience with the bento box.   On the industry stage, our CEO of SATS Food Solutions, Samuel Koh, received the awards for PAX Readership Award for Airline Caterer of the Year – Southeast Asia, voted by the aviation community. Puneet Arora (CEO, SATS Food Solutions India) brought forward-thinking perspective to the Taste of Travel panel discussion — representing not just our business, but a point of view on where complex flavour mastery and authenticity fit in the future of global aviation catering.   Beyond the booth, WTCE was an opportunity to do what this industry does best — connect. We took the time to sit down with fellow industry partners and players, exchanging perspectives on where inflight dining is heading, the challenges airlines are navigating, and the opportunities that lie ahead.   The future of inflight dining is authentic, culturally rich, and passenger-first. SATS Ltd. is proud to support Jazeera Airways with its air–land connection to Kuwait via Dammam in Saudi Arabia, ensuring that essential supply chains and travel links remain open amid the prevailing situation in the Middle East.  From our 60,000 sqm cargo facility in Dammam, SATS is managing the movement of vital cargo such as food, pharmaceuticals, and critical supplies, which are then transported by road into Kuwait. Since March, our team on the ground has been working around the clock to keep goods flowing where they are needed most.  This initiative is part of Jazeera Airways’ cross-border operational model, enabling continued access to more than 20 destinations. Operating at three cargo facilities across Saudi Arabia (Dammam, Jeddah and Riyadh), SATS leverages our global network to adapt quickly, minimise disruptions, and keep trade moving.   At the heart of this partnership is a mission to provide a safe, reliable lifeline for cargo and for communities. On 29 March 2026, Air Japan operated its final flight out of Singapore. SATS was proud to support Air Japan’s operations in Singapore, delivering safe, reliable and efficient ground handling and inflight catering services over the past two years.
