It’s coming up to a year since we lost our little girl Myla. Without going into details it was a brutal, painful new year in 2025. For a long time, I couldn’t even look at photos of her. I couldn’t even stroke another cat. And grief — whether it’s the loss of a pet, a parent, a friend, or a future you thought you were working towards — doesn’t respond to timelines or solutions. You can’t rush it. And you can’t fix it for someone else. You can only allow time. When I was finally ready, the tattoo came together the same way — starting with my idea slowly forming over weeks, shaped with my wife's input when asked, and designed by a tattooist friend I trusted. No pressure. Just people there when I needed them. The new year in 2026 was several hours of pain, but this time it was wanted. It’s made me think about how we support people, be it at work or in our personal lives. Supporting people is never about fixing things for them. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
