• Hello!

It seems that after the last upgrade to v. 1.26.1 scheduled backups run with errors:

    * Google Drive: backup_2026-03-02-0300_InfoSecPortalru_c2ac52452a2f-uploads4.zip: unsuccesful upload to Google Drive: The user has exceeded their Drive storage quota

in backup log we can see (i truncated log with ……):

6497.716 (10) Google Drive: quota usage: used=8789.6 MB, total=15360 MB, available=6570.4 MB 6497.718 (10) Google Drive: backup_2026-03-02-0300_InfoSecPortalru_c2ac52452a2f-uploads4.zip: Attempting to upload to Google Drive (into folder id: 1s9b5M5FK…. ) 6497.807 (10) Google Drive: backup_2026-03-02-0300_InfoSecPortalru_c2ac52452a2f-uploads4.zip: upload already began; attempt to resume did not succeed (HTTP code: 403) 6498.048 (10) Google Drive: ERROR: upload exception (UDP_Google_Service_Exception): Error calling PUT https://www.googleapis.com/upload/drive/v2/files?uploadType=resumable&upload_id= ……… : (403) The user has exceeded their Drive storage quota (line: 110, file: /var/www/fastuser/data/www/infosecportal.ru/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/Google/Http/REST.php)

This errors only take place in scheduled backups. If I run backup manually it is successful.

    Regards, Alex

We have not made a change to the way backups are handled.

“it continued to make local copies and when full backup was made locally UpdraftPlus deleted previous backup from google drive and then uploaded the remaining zip files”

This is the way the backups were already handled. The chunks are created, uploaded to your remote storage and then removed. More chunks are added as more are deleted.

In the old system we used to create the entire backup on your server before trying to upload any of it.

    Hi

Scheduled backups on Google drive were successful for a while but now I see one more unsuccessful backup because of “Quota exceeded for quota metric ‘Queries’ and limit ‘Queries per minute”.

    Log fragment:
