    Hi John,

Opening a new topic – sorry, I added my previous note to a closed issue by mistake.

After the 5.7.2 update, WordPress disappeared and the fatal error message appeared on the site. I used the recovery link sent by WordPress to access the WordPress interface again and there I saw that the problem was with the Redirection plugin. I turned it off, the website was restored immediately, and the system does not allow me to turn it back on, I get this error message: The plugin could not be activated because it generated a fatal error. I tried to figure out which plugin might be causing the incompatibility issue, but no matter which one I turned off, the system still won’t let me turn it back on. I’m using OceanWP theme, all plugins, theme, wordpress is up to date, cache cleared.

Thanks for your help in advance!

    Magdi

What was the fatal error? Without this it’s hard to say anything.

I didn’t take a screenshot, I can’t remember what I saw besides the fatal error. At the bottom of the WordPress automated email I found this:

That’s the one. The file does exist in the plugin, and you can check inside your directory public_html/wp-content/plugins/redirection/models/options.php to see if it exists there. Either your plugin update incorrectly and you need to install it again, or you have some kind of caching issues and need to clear whatever caches are on your site.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late response, as I see now a new update is released – I could update and turn on without any problem, it works fine. Thanks a lot for your support!
