Problem translating the error message for a checkbox field with a custom list

    Hello,

    I am posting here because I am having trouble translating the error message for a checkbox field that uses a custom listing for its display.

    When I do not fill in this field, the message “Please fill out this field” remains in English and not in French, which is the primary language of my website.

    I translated this string perfectly in WPML, and I also had to customize the other fields (mostly text fields) in “Validation” > “Advanced” to set a specific error message in French. I’m surprised that the WPML translation doesn’t load here.

    I also tested everything on French Web browsers, so if the form uses the browser to display an error message, it should be in French and not English. I checked everything in Firefox and Chrome on an operating system that is entirely in French, it’s not working it stays in English.

    Any idea what the problem might be here?
