Live Earth
Open satellites, earthquakes, and weather on the globe, then jump straight from those layers into the local world.
Explore real locations by land, sea, air, or space, experience the real sky and environment, and help expand a shared 3D world built from geographic data.
Performance note: Desktop recommended for best frame rate and rendering quality.
Open satellites, earthquakes, and weather on the globe, then jump straight from those layers into the local world.
Local time, sun, moon, and live weather follow the place you are actually exploring, not just your own device clock.
Drive, walk, drone, boat, and rocket through one connected runtime instead of separate disconnected modes.
Enter supported buildings on demand and move from streets into mapped or generated interiors without leaving the world.
Browse place context, property-linked destinations, and real-world location details while you explore.
Share locations with other explorers, see live presence, and keep exploration social without putting core access behind a paywall.
Stage place, building, interior, and photo contributions for review without directly changing the live world.
Core exploration stays free. Optional donations help an independent solo build keep growing the platform.
On-foot exploration with live teammate presence, mode HUD, and build controls in-session.
Drive through obstacle-filled lanes while synced to the same room and player context.
Low-altitude drone camera with AGL telemetry for tactical aerial visibility during shared play.
High-altitude drone mode with full city coverage and live HUD telemetry.
Rocket traversal in a solar-system scene with moon targeting and flight metrics.
Switch from vehicle to on-foot exploration directly on lunar terrain.
Minecraft-style block placement for custom structures and world experimentation.
Third-person car handling through dense urban blocks and road networks.
Low-gravity vehicle traversal tuned for stable traction on lunar surfaces.
Coastal city flyovers with broad terrain visibility and persistent map context.
Aerial lunar scans with crater visibility and navigation overlays.
Timed challenge mode where rooftops and buildings are painted as objectives.
Place location-linked memories with quick actions for review and cleanup.
Dynamic pursuit encounters while driving through the city.
Clear in-game fail screens with immediate retry flow.
Yes. The runtime includes mobile controls, but desktop is still the best way to see the full visual range and larger city scenes.
Live Earth is the real-time globe section inside World Explorer. It currently brings satellites, earthquakes, and weather into the same platform as the local 3D world.
Supported buildings can be entered on demand. The platform uses mapped interiors when they exist and enclosed generated interiors when they do not.
Yes. Multiplayer is free for signed-in accounts. Donations are optional and only support continued development.
Yes. The Contribute/Edit flow lets you submit staged place, building, interior, and photo updates for review instead of editing the live world directly.
World Explorer combines OpenStreetMap with open real-world feeds such as CelesTrak, USGS, and Open-Meteo, plus optional user-configured provider APIs where available.
