Pierced and punched sheet-iron lantern with conical top with wire mounted carrying ring. All surfaces of the body have been pierced from the inside with dots and dashes, forming neat rows, circles and radiating fans. C- 1750-1840. Very good condition, 14.75"

Wal Box labeled "Meat Hooks" in original paint. Likely used in a butcher shop or slaughter house. 19thc, 8.5" x 8.25" x 5.5". The base of the backboard and back edge of the bottom were exposed to water, compromising the wood. The hooks would have been returned to the box wet after being washed. The surface shows good color and dry patina. Constructed of pine.
