  • This Earth Day, we’re highlighting how sustainable practices in construction can drive meaningful environmental impact. At AECOM Tishman, construction waste recycling has been a key part of how we build more responsibly, and our work at JPMorganChase’s new global headquarters at 270 Park Avenue, serves as a powerful example of what’s possible at scale. During the demolition of the former 1 million-square-foot Union Carbide Building, the team achieved an impressive 97% recycling rate. Through a focused “soft demolition” approach prioritizing circularity, 690 tons of materials including carpet tile, ceiling systems, drywall, and light fixtures were diverted back to manufacturers for reuse in new products. That commitment carried through the entire construction process. In total, the project recycled 129,000 tons of material, representing 95% of all construction waste. This effort delivered a significant environmental benefit, equivalent to removing approximately 82,800 tons of carbon emissions from the atmosphere. Now open and serving as a new icon on the New York City skyline, 270 Park Avenue demonstrated that sustainability is not just a goal; it is something that can be successfully embedded into every phase of construction.  #AECOMTishman #NYC #Construction #Sustainability #EarthDay #WeBuildNY

  • Taking things to new heights at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Our team is making progress on the new 4,800-ton chiller plant, with ironworkers installing steel dunnage that will support four of the eight cooling towers. Spanning 80 feet across the Museum’s auditorium roof, this system is carefully designed to work within existing structural constraints while keeping operations running seamlessly. Once these towers are in place and commissioned, the process continues as we replace the remaining units, all while integrating new infrastructure into one of the world’s most iconic cultural institutions. A complex lift, thoughtful sequencing, and a team making it happen every step of the way. #AECOMTishman #Construction #NYC #Engineering #TheMet #LetsKeepBuilding

  • As New York’s skyline continues to evolve, 270 Park Avenue stands as a defining example of innovation, scale, and collaboration in today’s construction landscape. As John Kovacs, COO of AECOM Tishman’s New York region, shared, delivering a supertall tower over active rail lines in the heart of Manhattan required extraordinary coordination, precision, and teamwork at every stage. We’re proud to see our team’s leadership and the craftsmanship behind this iconic project recognized. Take a deeper dive into 270 Park Avenue here: https://lnkd.in/ePmswx8M

  • Progress starts below the surface. At DataBank’s IAD5, our team is laying the groundwork with critical site work and underground utility installation that will support everything to come. From water and sewer to electrical and fiber-optic lines, every step requires careful planning, precise coordination, and a strong focus on safety. Through detailed BIM coordination, strategic sequencing, and well-executed excavation and installation, the team is keeping work moving efficiently. Backfilling, compaction, testing, and inspections are all part of ensuring long-term performance, with accurate as-builts capturing every detail along the way. Well-orchestrated efforts like these are what set the stage for success. Great work by the entire project team driving progress forward at IAD5.  #AECOMTishman #Construction #DataCenters #SiteWork #BIM #Infrastructure #LetsKeepBuilding

  • What an incredible experience hosting our 2026 Women in Construction Summit, bringing together women from across the country and across all of our Construction Management brands. For many of us, it was the first time meeting in person, making the experience even more meaningful. Throughout the summit, we celebrated the impact of women in our industry, built new skills, and explored how to better leverage our voices as leaders. Most importantly, we learned from one another, sharing experiences, insights, and perspectives that continue to shape our careers. What a powerful way to close out Women’s History Month. #WomenInConstruction #WomensHistoryMonth #Leadership #AECOM #LetsKeepBuilding #AECOMTishman
