We're living through the biggest transformation in financial services in a generation, and this year at #NYFTW we're throwing a party for the people shaping it. Next Thursday, April 30, Baselayer is teaming up with Taktile & Fundbox for a rooftop happy hour at xAI's office in Chelsea (yes, that building). Skyline views. House music. Great food and drinks. And a room full of founders, VCs, lenders, bankers, and fintech builders. Spots are limited. Comment below and we'll send you the link to RSVP. #NYFinTechWeek #Fintech #AI #HappyHour

SO excited to host my fintech friends on my home turf! In Q1 alone: DC, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Atlanta (twice), and many cities in Florida – and I loved being in person and escaping the cold But now the sun and the blossoms are out. It’s the best time of the year in NYC, and I can’t wait to share it with our friends IN PERSON during New York Fintech Week (in 2 weeks) ! If you're around for coffee during NY FT Week, drinks on a rooftop, or just need recommendations, comment below / DM me & comment if you know this sidewalk coffee/wine spot 👀 Rachel Verrill Sarah Crossley Monica Morales Nicole Guliyeva Jonathan Awad Leya Gibson Budd Craig Rismiller Michael LaSala Peter Sweeney Jordan Humphries Baodong Hu Hamza Hussain, CPA Brendan Gallivan Colleen Breslin Martha Cummings Logan Shedd Manny Yosipov Misael De La Torre Hanna Judson Ananya Delaney Tim Runfola Jared Goldfischer Serena L. Lenders have stopped asking whether cash flow data belongs in underwriting. Now they're asking how fast they can get it live. And that's just the beginning. Cash flow intelligence is moving well beyond originations, into account management, collections, and real-time decisioning at every stage of the customer relationship. At Fintech Meetup last week, we met with the leaders writing that next chapter. 🏦 Panel: Nova Credit's Head of Data Science Consulting Nikki Cross took the stage on "Can data aggregators power the next wave of smarter credit?" to share how we're working with leading financial institutions to bring cash flow underwriting to scale and shared major upgrades to Cash Atlas, coming this Spring. 🪩 The Waterfall After Party co-hosted by Socure x Baselayer x Nova Credit We closed out Fintech Meetup with a sky-high room full of senior operators shaping the future of credit. Identity, fraud, risk, and credit all in one place, exactly how it should be (especially to celebrate Nikki Cross's birthday!) See you all at the next Meetup!

4 days. Almost 50,000 steps. All without leaving the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. That's what a great conference looks like. Back-to-back meetings from morning to night – between the conference and casino floor – and somehow it still wasn't enough time. Looking forward to picking up all my Fintech Meetup conversations once everyone recovers (I'm almost there). Big thank you to Leya Gibson Budd, Jordan Humphries, Adelaide de Saint Etienne, Sarah Crossley, Shane Mahabir, MBA, Henry Magun, Mitch Harris, Tom Sturdivant, Nate Wood, Ryan Maitre, Logan Shedd, Craig Rismiller, Patrick Barnett, Michael LaSala, Jonathan Awad, Rina Jariwala, Ford Kirk, Serena L., Petros Sechopoulos, Stefano Longo, Nico Klees, Bowen Gerould, James Hallacy, Ted Kirk, Peter Sweeney, Brad Stapley, and Kendra Hammond – great spending time with all of you! What’s everyone doing for NY Fintech Week? 👀👀

What does this moment in #FinTech look like? Having spent over a decade working with banks and FinTech, seeing them finally in the same room at Fintech Meetup is refreshing. FinTech is getting into acceleration mode. It comes down to four C's: ✅ Connections - 50,000+ opt-in meetings. 300+ investors in one place. The energy has shifted from cautious to catalytic. Behind the scenes, Sanjib Kalita, Chairman of Fintech Meetup shared that a proprietary matching algorithm processes 200,000+ potential connections to surface the right 50,000. Who you need today is not who you'll need at your next stage. ✅ Collaboration - It's no longer fintech vs. banks; it's fintech with banks. Ryan Beaudry at Mastercard framed it well: it's not one player or one component; it's the full ecosystem. Baishi Wu at Chime reinforced it: consumers care about real-time access, fraud protection, affordable credit. That's what collaboration must deliver. ✅ Conversations - AI. Embedded finance. Compliance. Kin Kee at Highnote reframed the agentic commerce debate: the real disruption comes from platforms decomposing cards into discrete components, letting builders recompose them around their product experience. Jonathan Awad at Baselayer added the risk lens: the critical work right now is tying agent identity to business identity, in real time, at scale. ✅ Capital - Smart money is flowing into infrastructure: real-time rails, smarter risk models, shared data layers. The Open Finance keynote with Kyle Hauptman at National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and Jessica Rusu at Financial Conduct Authority, moderated by Louise Beaumont at Invela Network, echoed the same: infrastructure and accountability before scale. Jessica grounded it with data: 1 in 4 UK citizens already use open banking. The US has the same opportunity but only once the liability and data-sharing layer catches up. I was honored to share my own thoughts about FinTech Meetup during the event and even more grateful for what I took away from it. Culture is built from the top. The fact that Sanjib Kalita showed up for a 1:1 within an hour of being asked says everything about what makes this community different. Delighted to meet Douglas Mackenzie, Gary Dempsey, Karina Goldberg-Jivotovsky, Millie Hinchliffe, Jeff Tijssen and many others. Curious how others are seeing this shift play out? See you at Fintech Meetup Europe in Lisbon. #FinTech #FinancialServices #AI #Finance #Compliance #VCs #Startups To stay current with the latest trends in #Technology and #Innovation, Subscribe to 👉 #CXOSpiceNewsletter here https://lnkd.in/gy2RJ9xg or 👉 #CXOSpiceYouTube here https://lnkd.in/gnMc-Vpj
