Meet Dave Baychoo, a CVS Health communications colleague, who just earned his Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star Medal after crossing the Boston Marathon finish line 🏃♂️🌟 It all started 2.5 years ago, when a friend said he probably couldn’t run a marathon. Dave proved otherwise, running all six world majors while raising more than $45,000 for charity, which included support from CVS Health’s Matching Gift Program. Reflecting on the journey, Dave shared: “Marathon running is cool, but the partnerships with groups and local organizations are a fun part of it. You get to do something you like and pair it with a cause to make a difference in your community.” Beyond the races, Dave also volunteers at a local food bank, helping support families in need. This new affordable housing community features 120 energy-efficient homes designed to help families find stability and flourish. Developed alongside Home First and Green Light Development, the community offers family-friendly amenities and on-site supportive services to promote long-term well-being. At the grand opening, colleagues and volunteers joined community collaborators to mark the milestone. We recently celebrated an important milestone for affordable housing in Kansas City, Kansas with the grand opening of City Hall Place. 🎉 Once the former Kansas City Hall, the historic building has been thoughtfully reimagined to create 104 safe, beautiful, and affordable homes. Through CVS Health’s investment and collaborations with local organizations, City Hall Place helps create the foundation families need to focus on their health, stability, and future. Access to quality care often depends on factors beyond the health care system itself. For some rural communities in Missouri, the nearest specialist can be nearly 40 miles away. Without reliable transportation, that distance can quickly become a barrier to care. Aetna Better Health of Missouri is working with community organizations to help close that gap by supporting local solutions already making a difference. • New Growth Transit provides free, volunteer rides to medical appointments across west central Missouri. In one year alone, drivers covered more than 550,000 miles. • The Community Partnership supports families across south central Missouri with education support and early childhood resources.
