🚨 BREAKING: A suspect accused of planning a mass shooting at Jazz Fest is in custody. Federal authorities tipped off the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Wednesday that the suspect was driving through the Florida Panhandle, bound for New Orleans. Deputies used Flock cameras to pinpoint him at a Destin hotel. A handgun and 200 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the room. This is what cross-agency collaboration looks like when technology connects the dots. A federal tip, a local sheriff's office, and a shared network of cameras across jurisdictions, all working toward the same outcome. We are proud of our contribution in preventing this tragic event, keeping an estimated 460,000 event attendees safe.

Last week, Wisconsin's Most Wanted was arrested in Oshkosh with the help of Flock. Location identified. Expertly skilled officers arrived at the scene. Most remarkable? What didn’t happen next. “He was detained without incident.” The suspect fired more than a dozen shots in public in December in Milwaukee. He got into a stranger’s car and wasn’t seen for four months, until Wednesday, when Flock helped find his location. Officers had the information they needed. There wasn’t a standoff. No shots were fired. No bystanders were hurt during an arrest that happened in the middle of the day, next to a local business. The most powerful outcomes are the ones that seem the least remarkable part of the story. Every officer returned to their family that night. The family of two Milwaukee victims are finally one step closer for, as LaTroy Harris’ brother put it, “justice to get its turn.” And the Oshkosh community, where the arrest happened, was able to go about an otherwise ordinary day, only to read about the news the next day. I’m proud that we could support the officers in this case.

RILA starts today and one thing is clear: retail is on the front lines of community safety. Every day, retailers are spotting patterns in organized retail crime (ORC), fraud, and in-store incidents before they spread further. That visibility matters. When it’s shared the right way, it doesn’t just protect stores. It helps protect entire communities. That’s where we’re focused. Flock is partnering with retailers to turn real-time insight into action, helping teams stay ahead of ORC, strengthen workplace safety, and bring more clarity to risk across operations. If you’re at RILA, stop by Booth# 615. We’ll show you what’s working today and what’s coming next. Let’s raise the bar for safety together.
