Generic CRO advice wasn't built for skincare. Your customers don't make buying decisions the way shoppers in other categories do. They need to trust you before they buy. They want to see texture and finish on real skin. They're planning a three or four product routine, not a one-off purchase. Most optimization playbooks skip all of it. On May 7 we're running a free 60-minute CRO Masterclass for Skincare Brands. Test ideas, frameworks, and a 12-month planning template built for how this category actually works. Co-presented with UN/COMMON and Rebuy Engine If you run e-commerce at a Shopify Plus skincare brand, this one is for you. Registration link in the comments.

3 trust signal tests. 3 different conversion levers. All low effort. We pulled these from the Trust Signals category in our Skincare CRO Playbook: 1. Badge hierarchy and placement: move trust badges above the fold, near add-to-cart, and test which badge leads. 2. Clinical claim format: specific study numbers vs. generic "clinically proven" language. 3. Review display: skin-type filtering so shoppers see reviews from people like them Each one targets the same core problem: skincare shoppers don't convert until they trust you. Most brands have the trust signals, but they just haven't tested where, how, and in what order to surface them. The blog breaks down setup, what to measure, and why specificity beats generic claims every time. Link is in the comments. Running a skincare brand? We're hosting a CRO Masterclass for Skincare brands on May 7th @ 11 AM ET. We'll walk you through a year-round testing framework, and you'll also walk away with 100+ skincare-specific A/B tests and a CRO roadmap template to put those tests to work. Recent question in the field: “What is your advice for building a CRO program that will be valued?” 1. Business Alignment: It seems obvious, but a CRO program that isn't connected to company-level KPIs will produce test results but it may not produce business results that are understood or valued. 2. Org Alignment: Where experimentation lives in your org, who it reports to, and what it's accountable for shapes everything downstream: what gets tested, who acts on the results, how much control you have over the test surface, and whether the program survives the next leadership change. 3. Start With Testing Best Practices: Sufficient traffic volume, conversion proximity, and page stability are all important factors that will make or break a test. Check out our latest POV on how to build a testing program that evolves toward a culture where testing is how every team makes decisions. https://lnkd.in/eDTt5_b3

The activewear brands pulling ahead are the ones running 2–3 tests every month, all year, and every launch gets smarter because of it. That's the program we broke down last week with Claudiu Cioba, the Founder and CEO at Videowise, Matthew Bass, Director of Optimization at Anatta - Shopify Platinum Partner, and Shoplift's own Nick Selman, our VP of Revenue. The full replay is now available - along with 100 category-specific test ideas and a 12-month roadmap template to build your own testing program from scratch. Everything is free. Everything is built for DTC activewear brands on Shopify. Watch the replay here: https://lnkd.in/eKHRKmAR

Your A/B test is two weeks in and the variant is winning. Then someone swaps the hero banner, someone else refreshes the copy, and a developer adds a new event section. None of them seem like a big deal. Together, they corrupt your data and you lose track of what actually drove the win. This is one of the most common mistakes Shopify brands make: treating the live theme like a working sandbox while tests are running. You don't need to slow down. You need a system where updates and experiments don't step on each other. We broke down exactly how to do it with habits that keep your tests clean while your team keeps moving. Your A/B test just hit statistical significance, but is statistical significance always a greenlight? We like to think of statistical significance is a milestone, not a finish line. CTR will always get there first since it accumulates data fast. Conversion rate and revenue per visitor need more time, more data, and full business cycles before you should start to look at conclusions. The real question isn't "did my primary metric hit significance?" It's "are my guardrail metrics - conversion rate, RPV - confirming the direction or quietly heading the wrong way?" That answer requires patience, discipline, and allowing for sufficient data before making the call. Checkout our latest POV on this topic with some examples from the field. Link is in the comments.

5 conversion levers. 5 tests. All runnable this week. We pulled one test from each of five categories in our Activewear CRO Playbook: 1. Partnership traffic: dedicated influencer landing pages 2. Product discovery: activity-based navigation labels 3. Social proof: UGC video carousel near add-to-cart 4. AOV: free shipping threshold and progress bar messaging 5. Mobile: full-width, swipeable image gallery Each one is low-to-medium effort and targets a different reason visitors leave without buying. The blog breaks down the setup, what to measure, and what to watch out for. Link is in the comments. Running an activewear brand? We're hosting a CRO Masterclass for Activewear Brands on April 2nd. We'll walk through how to build a year-round testing roadmap and share the top 100 A/B tests for activewear stores. Register here: https://lnkd.in/eezNKf8A
