Data centres are critical infrastructure, but real strategic value is in sovereign capability: being able to choose Australian foundational models in secure deployments tailored for regulated sectors like government, defence and critical infrastructure. We are happy to announce that next week our CEO, Simon Kriss, will be speaking and moderating a panel discussion on how Sovereignty in AI can lead to economic prosperity for developing nations. Simon will also be chairing the "Respectful Entry & Community Engagement for the AIFOD FAIR Standards Working Group". The AI FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES FORUM is an important voice, and gathers at Un Offices across the globe to discuss critical matters. Australia’s National AI Plan is here ... and the conversation is only just beginning. The Federal Government has released the long awaited Australian National AI Plan, setting out how AI will be adopted across public services, supported through new skills programs, and monitored by the upcoming AI Safety Institute. One point remains critical - If Australia relies entirely on offshore AI models, we also rely on offshore laws, offshore values and offshore control. That’s why Sovereign Australia AI continues to advocate for Australian-built capability. Not in competition with global giants, but to ensure that Australia has genuine choice, genuine security, and AI models that reflect our culture and national interest.
