  • For a while, marketing teams thought that influencer marketing could be reduced to the notion of “more likes = more sales.” But in today’s social commerce landscape, likes, comments, and followers–lovingly referred to as vanity metrics–don’t always provide an accurate picture of which creators have trained their audience to be buyers. What if we told you there’s a better way to evaluate performance? Join us on May 13 for our free webinar: “From Likes to Revenue: How to Identify Creators Who Actually Drive Sales.” We’re teaming up with Ethan Kramer and Madeline Tague to bring you the information you need to make your next move your smartest one. It’s nearly the end of March, and it feels like we’ve been running a marathon since we returned home from Tastemaker Conference 🏃 which is why it feels like the perfect time to pause and reflect on what we’ve accomplished: ✔️ Updating old content to a more user-friendly template with additional helpful content (50+ posts in the last 2 months!) ✔️ Building our EEAT through evergreen content, backlinks, and media features ✔️ Refining both technical and on-page SEO across our site to increase search visibility ✔️ Implementing a new process for filming recipes to post video content more consistently and grow our social channels ✔️ Tightening our brand messaging to hone in on our expertise and strengthen connection with our community ✔️ Pursuing content partnerships with food brands we love And there are probably even more projects that aren't coming to mind as I write this… All this to say, we hit the ground running in 2026 - AND we’re already seeing the results of our effort 💪 It’s reminders like these that keep us going and build our confidence as creative entrepreneurs. Whatever you’re pursuing, take a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come. When you’re running a marathon, each step might feel like nothing. But zoom out to look at the bigger picture, and suddenly you can see how all those steps add up to something greater and worth working towards every single day. - Nicole

  • Like so many bloggers, Christie Vanover has seen her organic search traffic decline due to AI. That decline in views equals a decline in ad revenue. So she's been testing an automated way to populate social channels, using her existing blog posts, to shift where her traffic comes from. We're diving into what she's learned as a result on today's episode, along with a candid convo about entering the CPG realm as a creator. • Tastemaker Conference reposted this

Reflecting on my journey within the creator economy since 2010 (as I attended SoCom this week), I've witnessed the evolution of the space firsthand. Starting as a creator and transitioning into building community, education, advocacy, and research, it's been fascinating to observe the conversations shaping the industry. At Tastemaker Conference, we focus on supporting and educating food creators, particularly food bloggers and recipe publishers—but also teaching social-first food creators this model. A key differentiator for us is empowering these creators to own their audience and website list, offering them flexibility and reducing platform dependency. This approach allows them to thrive in the social commerce space while maintaining control over their content and audience.

  • Last month we had the privilege of learning with Kaitlin Janes✨ for our Q1 webinar for CPG brands: "Community Events as a Growth Channel: The Measurable Impact Brands are Overlooking." We learned so much about how brands can bring creators and consumers together for high-impact events that foster brand loyalty and engagement over time. Today, we're thrilled to bring you the replay—and we're always here to chat if this sparks an event idea that you'd like to run by a team you can trust! • Normally, Tastemaker CEO, Abbey Rodriguez, shares a quarterly Founder's Message via email. But this time around she had a bit more to say, so she recorded a solo episode of Tastemaker Talk instead. Abbey shares: "As we step into planning for Tastemaker 2027 in San Antonio (and prepare for our 10th Tastemaker this year), I’ve been reflecting on how much has changed—not just in the business, but in me. The last few years pushed me to confront old stories around scarcity, worthiness, and what it means to truly receive. In 2025, my guiding word was abundance. This year? It's humility. And what I’m learning is that they aren’t opposites." Listen to the full episode for the full message. Tastemaker Talk is available wherever you get your podcasts ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gWKt5PSV
