About us

The world-renowned Dalí Museum is located on the picturesque downtown St. Petersburg, FL waterfront where visitors get a glimpse of Salvador Dalí 's world and an unparalleled collection of his finest works, from iconic melting clocks to imaginative visual illusions and avant-garde symbols. Guests can shop, play, wander and quench their curiosity for all that is Salvador Dalí and beyond. The Museum is also home to Innovation Labs at The Dalí, a one-of-a-kind program that carefully combines more than 60 years of psychology and management research on creativity, creative problem solving and innovation, infused with Dalí's philosophy and methods to unlock a team’s true untapped creative potential. Innovation Labs at The Dalí offer unique and proven curricula for individuals, business teams and nonprofit staff & clients to learn about and practice creativity and innovation, stretch limits, get un-stuck and venture beyond the norm. Founded in 1982 by Reynolds and Eleanor Morse, The Dalí Museum is rich in works from Salvador Dalí's entire career (1904-1989), with key works from every moment and in every medium of his artistic activity. The Dalí's distinguished new building, which opened in January 2011, enables the Museum to protect and display the collection, welcome the public and educate and promote enjoyment. In a larger sense, it is a place of beauty which is dedicated, as is Dalí's art, to understanding and transformation. The Dalí is a one-of-a-kind destination that you simply have to experience for yourself—alone or with family and friends. The Museum welcomes you seven days a week. The Dalí welcomes all as unique individuals and is committed to making its collection, exhibitions, building and programs accessible. Learn more at TheDali.org.

  • solitudes 👁️ In both Salvador Dalí and Alberto Giacometti’s work, exaggerated human proportions evoke a strong emotional response. Dalí’s vast landscapes with tiny figures suggest distance and scale, echoing Giacometti’s tall, slender sculptures that hover between presence and disappearance. Dalí’s "Telephone in a Dish..." (first image) presents a surreal still life filled with unease, while Giacometti’s "Four Women on a Base" (second image) shows figures standing together yet inwardly apart. Together, they explore how the human form can express presence, absence and the space between. • a new season unfolds 🌼👁️ As a new season begins, so does a shift in perspective. In "The First Days of Spring," Salvador Dalí explores the unconscious through a quiet yet unsettling landscape of fragmented figures and dreamlike imagery. Created during a pivotal year, the work reflects Dalí’s entry into the Surrealist group and the start of his paranoiac-critical method, laying the foundation for his artistic vision. 🌀 🖼️ The First Days of Spring (1929)
