Overview:

Seeking an Accountant to support system‑generated accounting processes tied to the global digital distribution of motion pictures and television series across platforms such as Video on Demand (VOD) and Electronic Sell-Through (EST). This role handles daily mapping and system processing of customer statements through platforms such as Whip Media and Media Maestro, including reviewing, validating, and reconciling incoming data. Key responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, maintaining correct financial mappings, and supporting month‑end close.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review and analyze Digital license agreements (interprets contractual terms; establishes revenue recognition requirements; establishes billing and payment terms).
• Research and map high volume product data for third party system interfaces.
• Maintain royalty statement tracker and summary log.
• Support royalty statement ingestion and processing in the Media Maestro system (PHE’s licensing platform).
• Prepare month end journal entries.
• Prepare various general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
  
  

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years related experience preferred (including internships)
  
  

Additional Qualifications:

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
• Strong basic analytical and organizational skills
• Able to take initiative and help identify issues
• Some experience working with systems, large data sets, or basic automated processes
• Able to manage multiple tasks and stay on track under tight deadlines
