We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will support accounting functions within the Motion Pictures business, focusing on accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliation in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in the entertainment industry.
Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Prepare and issue invoices to clients, maintaining clear communication regarding payment terms. • Follow up on collections, resolving discrepancies and ensuring payments are received promptly. • Perform high-volume reconciliations, including bank and account reconciliations. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address accounting inquiries and resolve issues. • Utilize accounting software to record entries and maintain financial records. • Monitor transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. • Provide exceptional service by addressing client needs professionally and efficiently. • Assist with payroll processing and tax-related tasks as needed. • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to optimize accounting operations. • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience in a high-volume environment. • Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including tax and contract considerations. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial management. • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members. • Experience working in the entertainment industry or similar agency environment is preferred. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools for recording and reconciling transactions. • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
