Accountant - Entry Level

We are looking for an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting operations, including sales reporting and financial reconciliations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles to support various global and domestic processes.

Responsibilities:
• Compile and process weekly and monthly global sales reports from international and domestic offices.
• Upload monthly trial balances from subsidiary offices into the designated organizational system.
• Conduct account reconciliations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial records.
• Prepare and post accounting entries in accordance with established procedures and policies.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to analyze and manage financial data.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and financial tasks as assigned.
• Leverage knowledge of US accounting standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support the implementation of financial systems such as Planful or similar platforms, if applicable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in US accounting standards and principles.
• Familiarity with financial systems and tools, such as Planful, is an advantage.
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
