Accounts Payable Manager

Our client is a financial services firm. They seek an Accounts Payable Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process across multiple entities using Workday Financials, including invoice entry, approval routing, payment processing, and vendor management
• Ensure all invoices are accurately coded, entered, and approved in Workday promptly
• Reconcile the accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Maintain vendor records in Workday, ensuring accurate W-9s, tax IDs, and payment instructions
• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to payments, invoice status, and vendor setup with professionalism and timeliness
• Monitor aging reports and drive timely resolution of outstanding items
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and expense reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for internal controls and external audit requirements
• Evaluate accounts payable workflows in Workday and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and control

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounts payable experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Workday
• Strong knowledge of AP workflows
• Familiarity with U.S GAAP
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Excel
