Assistant Controller

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support various aspects of financial reporting and analysis. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the month-end close process and prepare accurate financial statements.

• Manage project invoicing, support margin reviews, and assist project managers in evaluating budgets.

• Coordinate with external firms to ensure timely preparation and filing of tax returns, including Canadian filings.

• Serve as the sales and use tax administrator, managing exemptions and reconciling tax filings across multiple states.

• Maintain and update fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

• Facilitate both internal control audits and external annual audit procedures.

• Provide monthly financial reporting to local management and international corporate stakeholders, and participate in performance reviews.

• Administer cash and bank activities, including corporate credit card spend, cash flow analysis, and bank reconciliations.

• Delegate tasks to accounts receivable and payable coordinators, offering training and backup support as needed.

• Foster effective communication across teams to ensure financial procedures are up-to-date and well-integrated.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and consolidated reporting.
• Experience with tax compliance, including sales tax administration and multi-state filings.
• Familiarity with Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Business Central systems.
• Demonstrated ability to perform cash flow analysis and manage bank reconciliations.
• Background in conducting internal and external audits.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
