Senior Business Analyst – Capital Markets / Digital Assets

Overview

Our client, a leading fintech brokerage infrastructure platform, is expanding several strategic initiatives within its digital assets and trading infrastructure environment. They are seeking hands-on Senior Business Analysts who can operate as embedded individual contributors supporting multiple product and engineering workstreams.

This role sits within a regulated broker-dealer environment and supports platform development across three high-priority initiatives:

• Margin Trading Infrastructure
• Tokenized Securities
• Crypto-Native Services

The Business Analysts in this program will flex across workstreams based on engineering priorities and delivery needs.

The Role

This position is designed for execution-focused Business Analysts who take ownership of requirements and drive delivery through engineering teams.

Successful candidates will:

• Own business requirements and functional specifications
• Translate complex stakeholder needs into engineering-ready documentation
• Drive UAT planning and delivery validation
• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, compliance, and risk teams
• Support multiple platform initiatives simultaneously as priorities evolve

This is an embedded delivery role, not a coordination or advisory position.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end requirements documentation, including:
• Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
• Functional specifications
• User stories and acceptance criteria
• Translate stakeholder needs into clear engineering requirements
• Create workflow diagrams, process flows, and system interaction documentation
• Partner directly with engineering teams throughout the SDLC lifecycle
• Lead UAT planning, execution support, and validation
• Ensure engineering delivery aligns with regulatory and operational requirements
• Support cross-workstream platform initiatives, flexing between projects as priorities shift
• Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies across systems and delivery timelines

Required Qualifications

1. Business Analyst Delivery Experience (Non-Negotiable)

Candidates must demonstrate hands-on BA execution, including:

• Writing BRDs and functional specifications
• Requirements elaboration and traceability
• Supporting UAT cycles
• Driving requirements through engineering sign-off

This role requires individual contributors who own delivery, not coordinators or program managers.

2. Financial Services Experience

Experience working within a regulated financial institution, such as:

• Broker-dealers
• Clearing firms
• Custodians
• Investment banks
• Capital markets platforms

3. Regulated Platform or Fintech Delivery

Experience delivering systems within regulated financial environments such as:

• FINRA / SEC regulated broker-dealers
• Clearing and settlement platforms
• Trading systems
• Financial market infrastructure

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experience is beneficial:

• Digital asset infrastructure
• Blockchain or tokenized asset platforms
• Margin trading systems
• Prime brokerage technology
• Post-trade settlement systems
• Market infrastructure platforms
