Position Overview:

We’re hiring an experienced Business Manager to support the plant and commercial team to balance key OEM and Tier 1 customer relationships in Howell, MI. This role is ideal for someone who understands the commercial dynamics of the automotive industry and can drive profitability through effective pricing, cost recovery, and commercial/plant relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead raw material index-based price adjustments (resin, steel, etc.) and customer negotiations
• Validate, implement, and track annual price changes and commercial agreements
• Drive cash recovery initiatives including retroactive pricing, cost claims, and under-recoveries
• Support VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) activities to improve cost competitiveness
• Manage customer portals (pricing updates, scorecards, forecasts, and claims)
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and program management teams
• Monitor account performance, KPIs, and customer scorecards
• Identify growth opportunities within existing programs and new business

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of business management experience in Tier 1 automotive or manufacturing
• Strong understanding of OEM expectations, commercial terms, and pricing structures
• Experience with index-based pricing models, cost breakdowns, and recovery processes
• Familiarity with customer portals (e.g., GM, Ford, Stellantis)
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
