CLO Research & Trading Analyst

A leading credit investment platform is seeking a CLO Research & Trading Analyst to support the execution of bond investments across the CLO space.

This is an opportunity to work directly with senior investment professionals and gain hands-on exposure to trading, bid/offer negotiation, and the full investment process.

The role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in CLOs, structured credit, or a trading-oriented seat who want to grow into a front-office trading role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the primary and secondary investment process across CLO tranches.
• Review and analyze bond offerings, risk profiles, and investment opportunities.
• Conduct research on CLO managers, portfolios, structures, and relative value.
• Act as an additional set of hands for the PM/trader by evaluating bonds independently and recommending actions.
• Engage in bid/offer workflows, pricing discussions, and negotiation dynamics.
• Interface with traders, sales, and counterparties; maintain strong market relationships.
• Assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring and performance review.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 1–3 years in CLOs, structured credit, credit trading, or adjacent markets.
• Experience interacting with traders, sales, or trading desks (sellside or buyside).
• Strong understanding of bid/offer mechanics, trading psychology, and market negotiations.
• Able to independently review bonds and provide actionable recommendations.
• Background in research plus trading exposure is a strong fit.
• Not ideal for pure investment banking profiles - must understand trading flows.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable making judgment calls.
