Position Overview
The Contracts Administrator will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of government contracts, from proposal support through contract closeout. This role ensures compliance with FAR, DFAR, and company policies while serving as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, government customers, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable in federal contracting regulations, and experienced in administering a variety of contract types.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and manage prime contracts and subcontracts throughout the full lifecycle (proposal, award, execution, and closeout).
Review and interpret contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with FAR, DFAR, and other regulatory requirements.
Support proposal development, including review of RFPs, contract requirements, and pricing structures.
Prepare and negotiate subcontracts, modifications, NDAs, teaming agreements, and other contractual documents.
Monitor contract performance, funding, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations.
Track and manage contract changes, modifications, and extensions.
Collaborate with Program Management, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accurate contract execution and risk mitigation.
Maintain contract files and documentation in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
Support internal and external audits, including DCAA and DCMA reviews.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance contract administration efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, or related field.
3–7+ years of experience in government contract administration.
Strong knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and federal contracting principles.
Experience with various contract types, including FFP, T&M, and CPFF.
Familiarity with contract management systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Deltek GovWin, or similar tools) preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
