Overview

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Controller to join our leadership team at a growing manufacturing company. This role is designed as a clear path to CFO, offering high visibility, executive exposure, and the opportunity to influence financial strategy at the corporate level.

This is a corporate-focused Controller role, ideal for someone strong in GAAP, financial reporting, and analysis, rather than heavy operational costing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all corporate accounting and financial reporting functions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Own the month-end close, consolidation, and preparation of financial statements
• Partner with executive leadership on financial planning, forecasting, and strategic analysis
• Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, and KPIs to support decision-making
• Ensure strong internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness
• Support banking relationships, cash management, and capital planning
• Identify and implement process improvements and system efficiencies
• Mentor and develop accounting staff

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred but not required)
• 8+ years of progressive experience (public accounting + industry preferred)
• Strong expertise in GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced skills in financial analysis, modeling, and data tools
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate at both a hands-on and strategic level
• Clear ambition and readiness to grow into a CFO role
