Database Administrator

The Database Administrator will focus on the SQL portion of the environments while also having exposure to Microsoft Windows Server. As a member of the Archive team, the responsibilities will include the deployment of stored procedures including code review and maintaining proper source control for all database and stored procedure changes. DBA will be part of the Archive On-call Rotation, monitor DB health and performance and proactively suggest the path to maintaining the integrity of the SQL servers and databases.
What you'll be doing.
- Assist in creating queries for Archive Administrators to effectively troubleshoot issues with clients
- Provide reports for business use on information contained in the database
- Ensure continuous 24 x 7 x 365 database operation
- Maintain clustered servers running SQL Server in regard to availability, recoverability, and performance
- Setup and configure MS SQL databases and maintain the database performance criteria including access for changes, application access, and end-user interfaces that meets regulatory requirements
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems as they arise with the database including performance stored procedures or applications and working with developers to do performance tuning of stored procedures

- Advanced level Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 experience
- Windows Failover Clustering and replication database environment
- Experience with deployment and upgrade of engine & clients
- Experience with DTS/SSIS Packages, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, constraints and functions
- Logical and Physical database design, performance, scalability and tuning reviews/assessments (DB and SQL tuning), and query monitoring
- Backup and recovery, high availability
- Deliver and manage projects

Work Arrangement
This is an onsite position based in the United States.
