Desktop Support

Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. Members of our staff have the opportunity to design, prototype and produce next generation products for a diverse range of markets including environmental, medical, military, industrial, aerospace, and communications.

We seek a diligent, dedicated and meticulous person who will help to further our success and reputation in the industry through world-class customer service. The successful candidate must plan his/her own work schedule, keep multiple records, be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.

Specifically:

• Setup, configure, and deploy workstations, laptops and associated peripherals for new employees and new production workstations
• Install and maintain security software solutions on all networked workstations; monitor workstations using network monitoring tools (eg. Lansweeper) to ensure all computers are compliant with the latest security software
• Respond to user support tickets in a timely manner; triage requests appropriately linked to the scope and severity of the problem
• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding for user accounts and equipment
• Monitor and maintain IT inventory via network monitoring tools
• Configure and maintain all peripheral equipment such as printers, monitors, docking stations, and conference room audio/visual equipment

Requirements:

• Associates degree in Information Technology
• 3 years experience in end-user support
• Proficient in Windows desktop/laptop troubleshooting
• Familiar with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
• General understanding of Office 365, Active Directory (AD), and remote support tools
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Customer-focused mindset, acting with patience and professionalism
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
