Job Title: Elastic Platform Engineer (Designated Engineer – DE)

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced Elastic Platform Engineer (DE) to provide hands-on technical expertise and engineering support for Elastic platform initiatives. Focused on implementing, optimizing, and supporting scalable Elastic solutions within the customer’s environment.

The DE will work closely with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to build, maintain, and enhance Elastic deployments, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with enterprise requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and support Elastic Stack solutions across development, staging, and production environments
  • Assist in the execution of technical designs and platform roadmaps defined by architecture and leadership teams
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Elastic components (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, etc.)
  • Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalability improvements for Elastic clusters
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, including participating in support escalations and root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and data pipelines for observability, SIEM, and analytics use cases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integrations, data ingestion, and system interoperability
  • Ensure platform reliability, monitoring, and operational best practices are followed
  • Document configurations, procedures, and operational runbooks
  • Contribute to automation efforts (scripting, CI/CD, infrastructure as code where applicable)

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, systems engineering, or similar hands-on roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, Elastic Security, Observability)
  • Experience supporting distributed systems, logging, monitoring, and large-scale data environments
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain production systems
  • Experience with system performance tuning and high availability environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in enterprise or regulated environments (finance, healthcare, etc.)
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Familiarity with security analytics, SIEM, or observability platforms
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Prior experience supporting customer-facing or consulting engagement
