This is a substantive, hands-on litigation role supporting a busy general liability practice within a trial-focused defense firm. The associate will work closely with partners, senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to manage matters from inception through resolution, take an active role in discovery and depositions, and gain real courtroom exposure. General Liability Litigation Associate Responsibilities

• Handle assigned general liability matters with partner and senior attorney oversight
• Manage cases from inception through post-trial, including pleadings, discovery, and motion practice
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
• Prepare, review, and respond to written discovery
• Conduct legal research tailored to case strategy and client needs
• Take and defend fact and expert depositions
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials
• Communicate directly with clients to provide timely updates and case strategy insights
• Collaborate within a team structure that includes attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
  
  

General Liability Litigation Associate Requirements

• 5+ years of general liability litigation experience
• Open to candidates from plaintiff or defense backgrounds
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Trial experience preferred
• Active Pennsylvania Bar admission
• Strong analytical, written, and oral advocacy skills
• Self-starter who is proactive and anticipates next steps
