Reich Tool & Design, a Menomonee Falls based, family-owned and operated
Tool and Die manufacturer for almost 60 years is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to work its Tool & Die Department. The qualified candidate would report to the Tool & Die Cell Lead.
Reich Tool offers a clean, climate controlled state-of-the-art facility.
This is an 8-hour, in-person, first shift position Monday - Friday with possible overtime based on Company needs. Expected hours are 40 per week.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the CNC Machinist in the Tool & Die Department:
Ability to program, setup and run all CNC machines within the tool & die department
Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, milling, boring and other operations over a wide range of surfaces, depths and diameters in a variety of different materials
Includes a requirement to plan the work, determine cutting sequences, develop holding and chucking fixtures, adjust feeds and speeds and cut depths and select appropriate cutting tools using the print part, sketches or verbal description of the part to be made
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Make all necessary fine adjustments to machine tool for critical work
Skilled use with a wide variety of precision instruments for metrology
Use of a variety of precision measuring devices to position part, check dimensions during machining and check final part for accuracy.
Assume responsibility for dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship
Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision
Update and complete all required paperwork and documentation
Must have developed proficiency in the operation of various machines
Comply with all quality, safety and sanitation regulations
Recognize, report, and correct errors
Support the company's quality policy, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 5S practices, LEAN and world class manufacturing initiatives
Commit to the corporate goals, mission, and vision
Ability to adjust working schedule to changing workloads in the shop including the ability to work overtime when requested
Effectively work with Toolmakers
Assist in development and implementation of procedures and controls to promote efficient lean operations of the organization and ensure the groups follow those procedures and controls
Ability to multi-task a few jobs
Regular physical attendance is required
Travel, as required
Other duties as instructed by project manager(s)
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications Necessary for the CNC Machinist in the Tool & Die Department:
High school education or GED
Communication skills
Basic knowledge of Computers, CAD/CAM, Windows
Proficient with math and blueprints
Knowledge of metallurgy, GD & T, and metrology
Prior manufacturing experience in job shop environment.
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications for the CNC Machinist in the Tool & Die Department:
Prior experience working with automotive, aerospace and medical industries
Prior machining experience in a Tool & Die manufacturing environment
Independent thinker to make creative parts/vices to make job easier, faster and precise
Journeyman’s card in CNC and/or tool making
5 years+ machining experience
Post offer drug screen and background check required.
