Outsourced Agency Bookkeeper

Full-Time | Remote

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join the KiteTech Agency Consulting Team! The purpose of the Outsourced Agency Bookkeeper position is to provide high-quality bookkeeping services for KiteTech’s insurance agency clients who do not have the internal resources to hire or manage accounting staff.

This position works in collaboration with the KiteTech Bookkeeping Team Lead to understand client needs and execute bookkeeping services effectively. The role includes access to accounting expertise and management support, but requires strong self-management, organization, and ownership of daily work.

Expectations and Responsibilities

• Assist KiteTech accounting resource in determining agency’s bookkeeping needs and establishing a schedule and time commitment necessary to meet those needs.
• Independently perform key bookkeeping tasks including entering receipts/disbursements, reconciling premium payables, direct bill commission recording, reconciling bank statements, payroll recording, and performing month-end closing tasks, like journal entries and monthly financial reporting.
• Manage company, broker, and vendor payables and/or work with client to coordinate payments.
• Stay current on Applied Epic bookkeeping best practices and follow established KiteTech standards when performing client bookkeeping tasks.
• Communicate regularly with client to discuss and resolve any issues to the satisfaction of the client. This includes via email and video calls.
• Maintain real-time documentation of work activities for the purpose of recording progress and ensuring accurate client billing.
• Dedicated, distraction-free workspace with reliable hard-wired high-speed internet.
  
  

Non-Negotiable Candidate Requirements

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience working within an insurance agency and/or with the Applied Epic agency management system is strongly preferred.
• Proficient with M365 applications.
• Experience successfully working independently, as well as collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Comfort using all aspects of virtual meeting tools (camera use, meeting platforms, self-service scheduling) to maximize the virtual consulting experience for clients.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and accountable.
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

• Salary: $45,000 – $52,000 based on experience
• Health: KiteTech pays 80% of total premium for employee and family
