Base pay range

$80,000.00/hr - $100,000.00/hr
Senior SharePoint Consultant

Location: West Chester, OH (Hybrid or Remote)

Salary based on experience $80,000-$100,000 annually

Eligible for Bonus- no commission

The Senior SharePoint Consultant leads and delivers complex collaboration and content management solutions across SharePoint Online and on-premises environments. This role focuses on SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive migrations, advanced platform management, and architectural design while serving as a trusted advisor to clients throughout planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Design and implement SharePoint architecture aligned with security, compliance, scalability, and governance best practices.
  • Assess existing environments and create migration strategies, roadmaps, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions


Migration Delivery & Execution

  • Lead and execute SharePoint migrations from on-premises to SharePoint Online and between Microsoft 365 tenants.
  • Perform Teams and OneDrive migrations, including planning, execution, validation, and post-migration support
  • Troubleshoot complex SharePoint and Microsoft 365 issues across hybrid and cloud environments


Platform Administration & Governance

  • Provide advanced SharePoint administration and management, including permissions, site structures, hub sites, and lifecycle management
  • Ensure alignment with governance, compliance, and security best practices
  • Utilize SharePoint Advanced Management governance solution modules and configuration


Client Engagement & Leadership

  • Serve as a technical lead on engagements, providing guidance and mentorship to junior consultants
  • Support pre-sales activities including solution design, scoping, and effort estimation when needed
  • Produce clear technical documentation, runbooks, and client deliverables

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with SharePoint (on-premises and SharePoint Online)
  • Strong experience performing SharePoint migrations, including:
  • On-premise to SharePoint Online
  • Tenant-to-tenant migrations
  • Proven expertise with Teams and OneDrive tenant-to-tenant migrations
  • Deep knowledge of SharePoint architecture, including:
  • Information architecture
  • Hub sites and site collections
  • Permissions and security models
  • Governance and compliance
  • Experience with SharePoint Advanced Management governance solution modules and configuration
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services and integrations
  • Experience using third-party migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Quest, BitTitan, AvePoint, or similar)
  • Ability to lead technical discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a consulting or professional services environment
  • SharePoint architecture experience
  • Microsoft 365 or SharePoint certifications
  • PowerShell scripting experience for administration or migrations
  • Experience with SharePoint Advanced Management
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, retention, and compliance features
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Self-directed with excellent time and task management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Comfortable leading complex technical engagements independently
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor others
