6-month Contract-to-Hire

Location: Remote (EST/CST preferred)

Pay: $65-70/hr (compensation can vary depending on experience)

Most Important Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop detailed system specifications and designs.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server solutions, including stored procedures, queries, and automation processes.
• Build and support data integrations, ETL processes, and scheduled jobs.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize reporting solutions using SSRS or similar tools.
• Perform unit testing, support system testing, and participate in implementation activities.
• Provide production support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and participation in on-call rotations.
• Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and query tuning.
• Maintain database security configurations including roles, permissions, and access controls.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and automation capabilities.

What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:

• 5+ years of SQL development and database-centric application support.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including:
• Stored procedures, T-SQL, and complex query development
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• SQL Server Agent job creation and management
• Experience with financial reconciliation platforms (Accurate)
• Strong background in database performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience in SSRS or similar reporting tools.
• Experience with financial ERP systems.
• PeopleSoft Financials or similar enterprise systems.
• Experience with additional programming or scripting languages such as .NET, Java, Python, or PowerShell.
• Insurance or financial services background preferred.
