The Sr. Director, Total Rewards is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and advancing a modern, high-impact total rewards strategy that attracts, motivates, and retains top talent. You’ll lead the design of compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that align with business priorities and elevate the employee experience.
Partnering closely with executive leadership, you will ensure our rewards approach is competitive, equitable, and performance-driven – supporting growth, engagement, and organizational success. Develop and implement comprehensive total rewards strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives and culture.
Lead the design and management of compensation programs including base pay, incentives, bonuses, and equity plans.
Oversee employee benefits programs such as health insurance, wellness initiatives, retirement plans, and other perks.
Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits.
Partner with senior leadership and HR teams to communicate total rewards programs and promote employee understanding and engagement.
Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and brokers to optimize program effectiveness and cost-efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits.
Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, feedback, and innovation in total rewards offerings.
Qualifications
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of experience leading total rewards strategy (compensation, benefits, and compliance) within a multi-site healthcare organization.
Proven experience designing and evolving compensation structures that align performance, market competitiveness, and business outcomes.
Experience leading teams and driving complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations impacting total rewards programs.
Analytical and data-driven, with experience using market insights and benchmarking to inform decisions.
Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and align rewards strategy to financial and workforce priorities.
Experience with compensation and benefits benchmarking tools and HRIS systems.
