This position supports the U.S. Navy by developing and delivering technical training for shipboard systems. The instructor will be responsible for creating course materials and conducting training sessions for Navy personnel Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and update technical training courses and materials, including:
Lesson plans
Presentations
Student guides
Hands-on exercises
Assessments
Deliver classroom and virtual instruction to Navy personnel.
Ensure training aligns with Navy standards and adult learning principles.
Collaborate with engineers, SMEs, and logisticians to ensure technical accuracy.
Maintain training records and support course evaluations and revisions.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship
Active Secret Clearance
Navy Basic Instructor Training (NEC 805A or 9502) or equivalent (e.g., CompTIA CTT+, Microsoft Certified Trainer)
5+ years hands-on experience with Navy shipboard networks such as CANES or TACNET
Experience in at least three of the following areas:
Network Administration
System Administration
Technical Documentation
Technical Training
Preferred Qualifications:
Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) qualification (or ability to obtain within 9 months)
Familiarity with Navy Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Navy program requirements
Strong communication and instructional skills
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning tools
Compensation $64,480 - $87,360 per year Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
