Role Description
The Advertising Team is reinventing Advertising at eBay! We’re creating innovative ad-tech solutions to optimize the ad monetization and experience. Our goal is to create a valuable experience for both buyers and sellers, while also driving performance for advertisers. To that end, we are innovating rapidly and there is no shortage of new challenges for motivated individuals.
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join the Advertising organization, one of the fastest growing teams at eBay. You will be managing complex e-commerce projects from inception to implementation, and partnering with stakeholders horizontally and vertically within the organization.
Responsibilities
Run end to end lifecycle of complex technical projects that contribute to our Ads platform roadmap, from concept and initiation to release and go to market
Oversee design, development, integration, testing and ramp of key technical initiatives
Lead key operating rhythms within our organization and between partner teams; ensure that everyone is working together helping solving cross org issues / communication / partner concerns
Anticipate, assess and manage issues and risks; perform as needed root cause analysis and recommend mitigation plans
Ensure clear status reporting is happening at all levels, whether at the sponsor level or day to day team members
Develop presentations and supporting documentation for various forums and partners
Build, document, and improve processes across geographically distributed teams/partners in order to optimize efficiency in a fast-pace environment
Requirements
8+ years of technical project management with a focus on leading full stack, end to end integrations and testing
Experience in Ads or eCommerce in a product development environment
Demonstrated track record of leading projects from conception through post-launch
Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Experience working with engineering, design, product, sales, ops, and program management counterparts to deliver products/services
Ability to take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances, under little or no supervision
Clear and concise communication, documentation and presentations to your program manager and leads, and timely escalations of potential risks.
Manage multiple partners at various levels in the organization and working with them all equally, proactively and transparently
Willingness to be hands-on and do whatever is vital
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred requirements:
Experience with Ad Tech, Search, Recommendations, structured data, and ML/AI
Background of full stack system integration, E2E testing, development methodologies, and dependency management
Proficient in Airtable
Strong understanding of using AI, especially with process optimization, reporting and project management
