With a strong reputation for execution, safety, and client satisfaction, they are seeking a strategic and experienced leader to join their executive team.
Position Overview
The Vice President of Construction will provide executive leadership across all construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will play a critical role in shaping operational strategy, driving performance, and scaling the business across the region.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee all construction operations across multiple concurrent projects
• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company growth objectives
• Manage and mentor senior project executives, project managers, and field leadership
• Ensure consistent delivery of projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with pre-construction, estimating, and business development teams to support pipeline growth
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
• Implement best practices, process improvements, and innovative construction methodologies
• Monitor financial performance, including P&L oversight, forecasting, and cost control
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and safety requirements
Qualifications
• 15+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record managing large-scale, complex building projects in the Bay Area
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Deep understanding of construction operations, project controls, and risk management
• Experience overseeing multi-project portfolios and large teams
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
