What makes Nitin such a compelling voice on the SaaSpocalypse topic isn't just his current perch at Salesforce. He's a genuine commerce and enterprise tech OG who has watched these disruption cycles play out firsthand, having come up through companies like BEA and i2 when middleware and enterprise infrastructure ruled the world, only to get swept aside by SaaS and cloud. He was also at Google in the early days of what became Google Shopping, so he has seen firsthand how discovery and intent get rewired at scale. Now he's watching SaaS face its own version of that same existential moment, this time from agents. That's a rare vantage point and it shows in how he talks about it. A few other things that stuck with me: his take that B2B may actually leapfrog B2C in the agentic world, the uncomfortable question of what happens to the traditional customer journey when an agent is doing the buying, and what the Cimulate acquisition signals about where Salesforce is placing its bets on predictive intelligence inside Agentforce. Salesforce continues their strategic investments into its Commerce portfolio. 2.) NPS scores tell you who is happy. They do not tell you why anyone churned. We see this in teardowns constantly. A product with a 45 NPS score and 7% monthly churn. The promoters love it. The churners left before they ever got to love it. NPS measures the experience of your retained users. It tells you nothing about users who left in month 1 or 2. The most common answer we hear from churned users is not "the product was bad". It is "I never really got started." The most useful question to ask them is not "what could we have done better?"
