NDA & CDS 1 2026 Exam Physics –MCQ Class 3 Introduction Physics plays a crucial role in the preparation of competitive defence examinations like NDA and CDS, as it tests not only conceptual understanding but also analytical and problem-solving abilities. Among the various topics, Kinematics and Optics form a foundational part of the syllabus. These topics are frequently tested through objective (MCQ-based) questions that require clarity of concepts and speed in calculations....

I’ve always had a soft spot for ring-opening reactions, especially the ones triggered by light. What I’ve never enjoyed is how painful they can be to model in real time. And once you look through the literature, it becomes obvious why: getting a ring to break often seems to require a lot of theoretical and mathematical gymnastics. That got me wondering whether CPMD, with all its elegance and simplicity, could be nudged into doing the job with just one small modification. That idea led to the concept of “hole mass,” which I published here: https://lnkd.in/gPBZmQax The basic thought was this: if we are already comfortable with the fictitious notion of “mass” in CPMD, why not push that idea a bit further and borrow some intuition from semiconductor physics? In semiconductors, holes often have a different effective mass from electrons. So why not introduce a hole into CPMD as well? And it works. Two rings open, and even some of the Woodward–Hoffmann chemistry is preserved ;) Take a look. The code is available here if you want to try it yourself: https://lnkd.in/gynsW-KN And if you have a specific ring molecule in mind, I’d be happy to run it for you.

NDA & CDS 1 2026 Exam Physics –MCQ Class 4 Heat and Magnetism are two fundamental areas of Physics that play a crucial role in both daily life and competitive examinations like NDA/CDS. Heat deals with the transfer of thermal energy and the behavior of matter under temperature changes, while Magnetism focuses on magnetic fields, forces, and their applications in technology. Understanding these topics conceptually is very important because most MCQs in NDA/CDS are based on clarity of basics rather than lengthy calculations....

Sloshing frequency depends strongly on geometry, not only on the fluid. This toroidal case is a simple example of how changing tank shape changes the modal response. It is one of the motivations behind my work on reduced-order models for arbitrary tank geometries: fast estimates that still retain the relevant physics. #FluidDynamics #Microgravity #ReducedOrderModeling
