🚀 TL;DR — GitHub Dev Club (Copilot Dev Days) Calgary was 🔥 We hosted our first GitHub meet up Calgary and had 55+ developers show up curious (and honestly surprised) by what the new agentic GitHub platform can do. This is a GitHub‑centric, tool‑agnostic community — Claude, Codex, Copilot… all welcome. If you build in GitHub, you belong here. The best part? Watching developers’ faces as the center of gravity shifts from the IDE → the platform, and seeing real excitement around what GitHub can enable across the entire SDLC. Huge thanks to: - Ray Kao Supporting me on getting this event off the ground. We had some meaty challenges and I couldn't have gone through it without him. - Diego Casati (Global Black Belt) for diving into agentic deployments + platform engineering on Kubernetes - Ian Reay for absolutely pushing the limits of the GitHub Copilot SDK — ~200 PRs and ~170k LOC in days 🤯 And I had a blast showing how to build agentic CI/CD pipelines and, more importantly, how to think in this new model 📣 We’re evolving the name to align with the global rollout: GitHub Copilot Dev Days! And yes — we’re taking this across Canada. If Calgary was any signal, this community is going to be something special. More soon 👀 #GitHub #GitHubCopilot
Love to see it and exciting for Calgary to be the first. Thanks for hosting Ve
Awesome to see.
Amazing! Hope to see you in Toronto!
Love this Ve. GitHub Copilot is evolving so quickly right now. I still get a chuckle every time I see a customer's eyes light up when they realize what GitHub Copilot is capable of in 2026!
Great stuff Ve. Let's replicate in Toronto 😉
@vesharma when you coming to Vancouver :D
A wild Diego Casati appeared!
