2 months of searching, 11 interview invitations, 8 first interviews, 5 final rounds, 4 offers. 1 job accepted. Before landing my job, I spent around two months actively job hunting in the UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi). As someone who has been living in Dubai for the past few months, I want to share some insights and tips for those navigating the job market in the #UAE: There's no magic formula, but here’s what worked for me: 🔹 LinkedIn Easy Apply: Everyone says it doesn’t work, but it does! I landed 2 interviews this way. The key? Choosing the right jobs and applying strategically, do not apply because you want to apply. 🔹 Referrals: This is the real game-changer! Two of my offers came through referrals. If you know someone in the company, don’t hesitate to reach out. 🔹 Reaching out directly: I messaged hiring managers on LinkedIn, highlighting how my skills and experience matched their roles. This approach got me 3 interview invitations. Taking the initiative can make a huge difference! 🔹 Career websites: The rest of my interviews came from simply applying through company career portals. It’s a numbers game, so keep applying! The job market here is highly competitive. Many talented candidates are applying for the same roles. A rejection doesn’t mean you’re not good enough, it just means someone else was a better fit. And that’s okay. To wrap up: Apply, apply, apply! Use different strategies, reach out if you believe you're the right fit, and most importantly, don’t give up. 💡 Keep pushing. Keep applying. Keep improving. #jobhunt #dubai #storytelling #job

When I started applying in UAE, I faced complete silence — no replies, no calls. Until I changed my approach which helped me get multiple calls within 30 days of being here. If you’re applying endlessly on job portals and still getting 0 replies, read this before you give up. 1. Don’t just apply on job portals Most vacancies are never posted online. What made the difference? — I started personally reaching out to HRs, CFOs, Finance Controllers & Talent Acquisition Heads on LinkedIn for the companies I was targeting. That’s how real conversations start. 2. Build a local LinkedIn network If you’re targeting the UAE, connect with UAE-based professionals. Your feed will start showing relevant job posts and company updates. Use Google to list top companies in that country or city, then connect with people working there. 3. Apply everywhere (smartly) Use all major job apps and even consider taking premium versions of 2–3 platforms. Visibility matters — especially in competitive markets. 4. Stay active on LinkedIn Don’t just apply silently. Start sharing posts, updates, and even your job search journey. An active profile signals recruiters that you’re serious and engaged. 5. Use a local contact number in your CV If you’re applying for UAE roles, mention a UAE number. Many recruiters filter out international numbers — I’ve personally seen this matter. 6. Keep circulating your CV Share it with people, recruiters, and even peers. The more you engage, the more likely someone will refer or reach out directly. 7. Quality > Quantity in applications If you’re applying for 10 jobs a day — pick 2 you really want. Spend time writing the right cover letter (AI can help!). And if the job description has an email ID, don’t rely only on “Easy Apply.” Email them. It often gets better responses. Final Thought: Your job search is not a numbers game — it’s a connection game. Right people + right positioning = right opportunity. If this helped, please share it — it might reach someone who’s been struggling silently in their job search journey 💪 #JobSearch #UAEJobs #CareerTips #LinkedInTips #JobHunt #FinanceJobs

👋 Hello LinkedIn community 👋 Let’s talk about how professionals in our UAE community can genuinely stand out this September, as the hiring season reaches its peak. There’s competition for every role—whether you aspire to break into tech, build a career in finance, or explore opportunities in hospitality, education, and logistics. The smartest move today is to leverage advanced digital tools to streamline your application, sharpen your profile, and network efficiently for real results. Start with your CV: forget the one-size-fits-all approach. Today’s best practice is to use platforms like VisualCV or Canva, which let you input the job description and instantly generate tailored keywords and achievements, making every resume relevant and competitive for local employers. With Jobscan and Resume Checker, you can see how recruiters’ automated systems will view your resume—and make improvements that actually get you noticed. LinkedIn has become a powerful ally for job seekers in the Emirates. Features like Skills Match and AI-powered job search allow you to describe your ideal position and receive personalized matches—no more endless scrolling. It’s easy to set daily alerts, track the top companies, and respond promptly to new openings. For follow-up, tools such as Hunter.io help locate hiring managers, while smart messaging assistants ensure each outreach is professional, concise, and aligned with your personality and goals. But landing an interview is only half the battle. To perfect your interview performance, check out Interview Warmup and Evalufy’s feedback platforms: they analyze your responses to tough questions, offering insights on tone, structure, and what employers are looking for in UAE’s high-growth sectors like tech, real estate, and healthcare. Upskilling doesn’t stop with applications, either—many professionals are investing in digital certifications in fields like cybersecurity, cloud computing, and data analytics to match demand for specialized skills. Tradition supports us, yes, but let’s use every tool available to build on our ambition. This season, success is about precision, adaptability, and smart networking—not just sending more applications. The market is driven by strategy and timing. If you’re ready for your next opportunity, let the latest technology help highlight your achievements and connect you with decision-makers across the Emirates. #UAEJobs #CareerGrowth #DubaiCareers #DigitalStrategy #LinkedInUAE #EmiratiProfessional #HiringSeason

You send your CV. You follow up. Nothing. Or you get another: “𝘞𝘦’𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴.” We've all been there. It's easy to feel like you have no control - like you're running a marathon with no finish line in sight. But you have more power than you think. The key is to be proactive, not reactive. Here are five ways to keep your momentum going: 1. 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬. Log every application, connection, and interview. This isn’t about counting rejections; it’s about seeing your momentum. Track the skills you’re building and the relationships you’re forming. 2. 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐥𝐲 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧. Block out dedicated job search hours, set networking targets, and commit to learning one new skill. Review your progress each week to stay on track. 3. 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲. Don’t just like posts - comment meaningfully on content from leaders in your field. This keeps your name and expertise visible to recruiters and hiring managers. 4. 𝐔𝐩𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞. Choose one high-demand skill or tool and commit daily time to mastering it. This shows initiative and makes you more competitive. 5. 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲. Reach out to 3 to 5 new people each week; a single coffee chat can open unseen doors. When rejection happens, treat it as data, not a judgment. Ask for feedback, identify one thing to improve, and apply it in your next application or interview. Remember, silence is often about a company’s internal process - not your value. And you don’t have to do this alone. Reach out to friends, mentors, or your professional network. A quick conversation can lift your confidence and shift your perspective. Finally, make rest a normal part of your search. Even a short walk, a coffee with a friend, or time away from your screen can reset your mind and help you manage stress. What’s one piece of advice that’s helped you bounce back from a rejection? Add your advice in the comments - it might help someone who needs to hear it today. #JobSearchTips #CareerAdvice #StayMotivated #CoachRecruitment #LinkedInNewsAustralia

You can’t get a job in the UAE without UAE experience. You’ve heard it. Everyone repeats it. But here’s the truth. Thousands of people get hired every single week WITHOUT UAE experience. The problem isn’t your background… It’s how you’re positioning yourself for the UAE market. I’m saying this based on my experience working with: • Fresh graduates • Newcomers relocating to the UAE • Professionals switching careers I’ve helped hundreds of candidates land interviews and offers — without prior UAE experience — simply by restructuring their strategy. Here’s what actually works: 1. Stop applying for mid-level roles you can’t win yet Freshers often apply to roles asking for 3–5 years of experience. You’re competing with seniors. Start with: • Graduate programs • Entry-level coordinator roles • Assistant roles • Trainee / internship programs The title doesn’t matter. The entry does. 3. Build “UAE relevance” without living or working here You can add: • Online volunteering with UAE NGOs • Remote freelance tasks • Short UAE-based certifications • Personal projects related to your field My clients who added just one of these saw a huge increase in callbacks. 4. Fix your CV title — it’s the #1 reason people get ignored Your title must match the UAE market, not your degree. Examples: ❌ “Business Graduate” ✅ “Junior HR Coordinator | Admin Support | Talent Assistant” This alone has helped many candidates move from ignored to shortlisted. 4. Highlight real transferable skills UAE recruiters hire for: • Soft skills • Customer experience • Communication • Microsoft Office • CRM exposure • Teamwork • Problem-solving Freshers underestimate how valuable these are. 5. Apply early — the UAE moves FAST A job post can receive 300+ applicants in one hour. If you apply late, you’re invisible. 6. Use networking properly Not “Hi sir, any vacancy?” But meaningful engagement: • Comment on posts • Add insights • Connect with HR politely • Ask smart questions Many of my clients got interviews because they showed up consistently. 7. Your first job is your ticket — not your destination Once you get 6–12 months of UAE experience, you can grow extremely fast. Many of my clients doubled their salaries within a year. 8. Be Proactive One of the strongest ways to stand out — even as a fresher — is to show initiative. Before applying: • Study the company • Spot one small problem or improvement area (customer journey, service gaps, communication, content, process…) • Suggest a simple, realistic solution in your cover letter or during the interview You don’t need to be an expert. Companies hire people who think, observe, solve, and take initiative — not people who wait for instructions. This level of proactivity instantly makes you memorable. #UAEJobs #DubaiJobs #UAEHiring #CareerAdvice #JobSearchUAE #FreshersUAE #CareerCoach #DubaiCareers #LinkedInTips #JobSearchTips

I could have never got a job in Dubai! Like me, so many talented engineers dream to work abroad, but they fail to try for it in the right direction .. I did the same mistake for 4-5 months before I finally figured out what is going to work for job applications in the UAE. So, you're not alone if you've had the misfortune of sending over 50 applications and never hearing back. Though there are several employment opportunities in Dubai, there are several hurdles for freshers as well → Automated rejections before a human even gets a chance to view your resume. → Competing with not only industry peers but the entire world as well. → Understanding the unspoken needs of employers in Dubai. → Issues of culture, relocating to Dubai, and visa, are unspoken hurdles. It is a fact that most people would not have any idea of the existence of such opportunities, and in order to gain some visibility, you would have to ascertain yourself CV wise. Here's what actually worked for me: → Tailored CV format: Dubai employers prefer specific CV structures - include a professional photo, nationality, visa status, and expected salary upfront. → Network strategically: LinkedIn connections with Dubai-based professionals in your field matter more than mass applications. Engage with their content first. → Target the right companies: Focus on multinational corporations and local conglomerates that actively sponsor visas rather than smaller firms. → Timing is everything: Apply during peak hiring seasons (September-November and January-March) when budget allocations are fresh. → Show cultural awareness: Demonstrate understanding of the regional market, mention willingness to relocate, and highlight any Middle East experience. One very important factor, in many cases applying through recruitment agencies specialized in UAE placements rather than company websites directly. might help. Coz, they understand the visa sponsorship process and have established relationships with hiring managers. Top recruitment agencies that actually respond: - Michael Page UAE - Engineering, IT, finance - Hays UAE - Technical and professional roles - BAC Middle East - Engineering and construction - Charterhouse Partnership - Banking and consulting - Randstad UAE - Both permanent and contract positions - Antal International UAE - Mid to senior-level roles Don't give up on your dream untill and unless you have tried enough. Sometimes it's not about working harder - it's about working smarter in the right direction. What's your biggest challenge in applying for jobs abroad? Share in the comments below! 👇🏻 Also, if you want 1:1 guidance, let's connect on Topmate, link to connect with me is in the comments. #Dubai #JobsInDubai #UAEJobs #CareerGuidance

🚫 “Why Am I Not Getting Interview Calls in Dubai?” – The Job Seeker Dilemma 🚫 You arrive in Dubai full of hope… but weeks later, no interview calls. “I’ve sent so many CVs, but nobody replies.” The truth? It’s rarely the lack of jobs. It’s usually how you approach the job hunt. In a competitive market like Dubai, clarity + relevance + professionalism = visibility. A well-positioned candidate always stands out in a sea of applications. Here are the top mistakes job seekers make in Dubai and how to fix them 👇 ❌ 1. Resume Gaps → Unexplained gaps = red flags ✅ Fix: Briefly explain (Relocation, Upskilling, Family break) ❌ 2. Applying Everywhere → Mass applications show lack of focus ✅ Fix: Apply only when you meet 70% of requirements ❌ 3. Weak CV Formatting → Cluttered, no keywords, grammar errors ✅ Fix: Keep it clear + ATS-friendly ❌ 4. Unprofessional Networking → “Please give me job” rarely works ✅ Fix: Build real connections. Engage with content, add value. ❌ 5. Ignoring LinkedIn Profile → Recruiters check LinkedIn first ✅ Fix: Optimize photo, headline, and summary + show UAE availability ❌ 6. Unrealistic Salary Expectations → Asking too high, too soon ✅ Fix: Research UAE salaries, stay flexible at entry ❌ 7. No Follow-Up → Silence = lack of interest ✅ Fix: Send a polite follow-up after 5–7 days Dubai’s market is competitive but fair. The candidates who succeed are those who present themselves professionally, target wisely, and network strategically. What’s the most important job-hunting lesson you’ve learned in the UAE? #DubaiJobs #CareerTips #HRInsights #JobSeekersUAE

Moving to the UAE? Here’s What No One Tells You (But You Must Know) Part -1 Whether you’re chasing your dream role, relocating with hope, or making a bold career move — welcome to the UAE! But before the Instagram-perfect skyline, here’s a realistic checklist to help you prepare BEFORE landing: 1. Research Beyond the Role • Study the industry trends in UAE (e.g., retail, real estate, tech, healthcare, education). • Understand the labour laws — it impacts hiring, and very important for you to know your rights. • Look up salary benchmarks for your field (don’t rely on your home country’s pay standards). • Get your degrees attested at Amer centers will in advance to avoid delays in employment process. 2. Update Your CV the UAE Way • Keep it 2 pages max, ATS friendly with a professional photo. • Add your visa status, notice period, and contact number with UAE code. And personally I have learnt that, it’s much easier to land a job if you are in the country. • Use keywords aligned with UAE job portals like Bayt, Indeed Jobs, Naukrigulf and LinkedIn. 3. Start Networking Before You Land • Connect with hiring managers, HR professionals, and expats in your industry on LinkedIn. Personally for me LinkedIn is my go-to from networking to job hunts. • Join UAE-focused job groups, webinars & community networking (Vasta/connections) is the key to land an interview in most cases, however social boards are equally effective. • Add a tagline: “Exploring opportunities in the UAE – open to connect and collaborate!”, depending on your experience levels ! 4. Financial Cushion is a Must • Save at least 3–4 months of living expenses (accommodation, food, transport) - Accommodation will be the biggest hole in the pocket, given your stay preferences. • Jobs may take 6–12 weeks to finalize even if interviews go well. • Mentally prepare yourself for long waits, rejections and the exhaustion that comes with the hunt, this is you reinventing yourself in a foreign land hoping to soon call it home; So stay strong. 5. Understand the Probation Period Culture • Standard probation is 6 months – during this time, either party can terminate with 14 days’ notice. • Benefits like air tickets, bonuses might not apply until after confirmation. • Companies in UAE value trust + performance – probation is often viewed as a “trial partnership.” Remember: Dubai or in general the UAE is full of possibilities — but preparation is power. Don’t just relocate with dreams — relocate with a plan. Stay tuned for Part 2, where I’ll share more insights on cost of living & other job related aspects 👇 Tag someone considering a UAE move or is new here ! #LifeInUAE #JobSearchUAE #UAEJobs #ExpatGuide #DubaiCareers #CVTips #UAE2025 #RelocateSmart

Good morning!! Here’s a strategy I rarely see job seekers outside the UAE use. If you want to work in #Dubai, start tracking where opportunity is born, not where it’s advertised. In this city, the first wave of hiring often happens quietly through expansion signals, not job posts. (read again) Watch for new warehouses opening, hotels being launched, brands entering the region, construction permits issued, or new leadership hired. These are early indicators that teams will soon be built. If you position yourself during this silent phase, you reach employers before the crowd even realizes something is happening. That timing can change your entire journey. #sohaibhasan #uaejobseekers #uaejobs #dubaijobs #gccjobs #gulfjobs #recruiter #technology #careers #innovation #ai #jobs2025

After my last post on how fast the UAE job market moves, I got hundreds of messages from candidates asking what they should actually be doing to stand out. So let’s talk about it, because most people are doing it wrong. If you’re looking to land a job in the UAE right now, here’s what actually makes a difference 👇 ✅ Be visible , online and offline Your LinkedIn profile is your first impression. Make it searchable, make it current, and make sure your location says “UAE.” Then go a step further, attend events, network meetups, and industry talks. Being seen matters here. Just go out there and network, this market works on networking more than anything ✅ Have a working UAE number Simple but powerful. It shows commitment, availability, and makes it easy for recruiters and employers to reach you. ✅ Don’t just message, communicate value If you’re applying for a relevant role and decide to reach out to someone, make it easy for them. Share what you do, what kind of roles you’re looking for, your salary range, and notice period. Generic “Hi, I’m looking for a job” messages won’t get you anywhere. Trust me hiring managers get hundreds of them daily. ✅ Have savings, real ones You’ll burn through them quicker than you realize. Dubai moves fast, but it’s not cheap. Between rent, travel, and day-to-day costs, you need a cushion to job hunt properly. Just a Taxi fare for a 30 minute ride in rush hour can cost you 100 AED. Now if you’re travelling for events and interviews imagine what that will compound to. ✅ Build real connections Don’t just slide into DMs asking for referrals. People get hundreds of those daily. Start by commenting on posts, sharing insights, and engaging genuinely, then when you message, they’ll actually remember you. ✅ Show you understand the market Whether it’s licensing in business setup, AI in tech, sales in real estate or project cycles in contracting, employers want people who get it. Show that your skills are transferable and you understand the local pace and culture. The candidates who stand out aren’t the ones who apply everywhere they’re the ones who prepare smartly and move intentionally. What’s one thing you wish someone had told you before job hunting in the UAE? 👇 #UAEJobs #DubaiJobs #CareerAdvice #JobSearchUAE #Recruitment #TalentHigher #CareerGrowth #Networking #DubaiCareers #HiringInUAE #JobMarketUAE
